We chose the executive tour it was very informative and entertaining and we ended up sniffing and tasting whisky in the managers beautiful office. We learned so many interesting facts about whisky and how to really appreciate the taste. I even learned that a few drops of water really does make it taste smoother. The staff were friendly and helpful... More

The tour was interesting as far as it went but as there is no malting, or bottling any more it's not really up to some tours we have been on. Bill, our tour guide was very friendly and informative so all kudos to him for making it worthwhile. We visited about 20 years ago when it really was a bustling... More

This is a small distillery, so the tour lasted about an hour. Very well informed tour guides, and you were given a small whiskey glass as a souvenir.

Did the distillery tour on a Wednesday morning in September. No lines, no wait. Very informative and interesting to tour an actual working distillery. And you can't beat the tastings along the journey.

Very busy distillery. If you want to visit and are fussy about date and time then you must book in advance

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of the distillery. We had an excellent tour guide who explained the workings in interesting detail. He spoke clearly and distinctly with respect to the tourists for whom English is not their first language. We had a taste of full strength Scotch partway through the tour, and then a wee dram at the end, and... More

Went here last week after a long trip revealed the Tobermory was shut for maintenance... Late tour, 6pm kick off. No photos are allowed, though that'd to be expected, wouldn't was old Slugworth getting hold of the secrets now would we! Our guide was Khoudi (think that was her name). She was very good, I did struggle to understand her... More

I don't like whisky: but I do like trying and tasting all sorts of things and finding out about them. Very informative and entertaining guide - a taste of cask strength whisky (about 55%!) and then a taste of the bottled product.

we arrived too late for a tour of the distillery but the visitor center is very good.... close in to the town center so you can stay in Oban almost anywhere and walk here. Oban's harbor just across the street from this is lovely...one of the best in Scotland.

I really enjoyed the tour (though they wouldn't allow photos). Learned a lot about the making of whisky and got a dram and included a souvenir glass to take home.
