Visiting whisky distilleries never gets old! Oban distillery is quite unique in that the town of Oban has been built around it! It's the smallest distillery we've been to so far and it's based in the town centre which is different! Our guide Stuart was excellent and very informative, his personality exudes passion for whisky and for the distillery! A... More

We popped in on the spur of the moment whilst staying just outside Oban and was not disappointed. The tour was very informative and even the freebies were great. Samples of whisky and even a glass to take home. Well worth a visit.

We really enjoyed this distillery tour - a great escape on a wet cold day outside. We had a very enthusiastic guide who explained the whiskey making process and kept us entertained throughout.

The tour guide was engaging, funny, enthusiastic and not too robotic but he like most distillery tour guides did steam roll his way through the facts at times. Just something worth mentioning is everything the tour guide said was basically exactly the same as at Blair Athol distillery (obviously apart from facts and figures specific to the distillery) which is... It was really interesting and very informative, really enjoyed it. Got a look at all the stages and had a lovely lady show us around. Got to taste some of the whiskey at the end and were even given an Oban distillery tasting glass. Brilliant

End of the day of driving in "lower" highlands/Glencoe - the distillery was closed for the holiday and re-opened on the 3rd before a more extended maintenance break - we were in at last 15 minutes of their day and they were gracious enough to allow us in the tasting room with a mini- education about their distillery - wonderful!

Well worth a visit if in Oban, lovely small distillery. The tour covers pretty much the whole place, visiting all working areas. Really good value for money, the tour included two tastings and a free whisky glass!

We visited Oban as a day trip. My family were very interested in a tour of the distillery. I had the dog and therefore, would not be joining them on the tour. We noticed on the outside of the door that only service dogs were allowed into the building. The other three members entered the building. I stood in the... More
