We were looking forward to an evening that promised so much. The musicians, dancers and singer were all excellent and obviously very talented. It started late due to the late arrival of a large coach party then after 3-4 songs and once dance the band needed to have a 10 minute break. On their return they played a couple of... More

The large room where the music and dancing took place had a beautiful view of the bay. The performers were great! We had an excellent evening of singing along, learning new dances and hearing great music.

This was billed as the highlight of our best of Scotland tour with Highland Heritage. We probably expected more, but what we got was a bit disappointing. OK one of the band was sick which didn't help but it was more like a sales promotion for their CD`s than a concert. the three band members were very accomplished musicians but... More

We came here based on Rick Steve's recommendation, and once again, his guidebook does not disappoint. The windows across one wall give you a beautiful view of Oban's harbor. The music was wonderful, at times upbeat and at times slower ballads. The program is excellent, switching it up from music, to dancing. At times, a very talented girl dances traditional... More

Charged at the door for entry to a 'Ceilidh'. The trio on stage were engaged in entertaining a coach trip and demonstrating dances. The first time I have ever had to drink a glass of wine from a plastic tumbler because, "we don't do wine glasses". A place to avoid!!!!!

We wandered in totally spontaneously... and had a great time learning new dances and joining with friendly people we had never met before. They really cared about helping us to learn the dances and we enjoyed casting our inhibitions aside and just having fun. Loved the traditional music and the descriptions of the history of the tunes. So glad we... More

We went to the Skipinnish after reading about it in Rick Steve's books and we were not disappointed. The evening was a mixture of dancing, singing, and bagpipe playing. There were several dances where we got to participate, which was tons of fun. The most interesting part, to me, was at the end of the evning. The Skipinnish Ceilidh House... More

There are few greater pleasurers than to share with local people in their entertainment. It is old fashioned but still great fun and everyone joins in. The musicians and dancers are world class. Absolutely charming.

Went in August as a part of a tour for some Scottish music and dancing. Great band, cheap entrance fee, good atmosphere.
