Disturbed to find this area of beauty has been spoiled by the building of large, ugly, soulless modern houses and flats. Shame on the planners for allowing this

Took my 3 dogs along, no hassle, peaceful place! The beach itself is super clean and generally, locals are nice and chatty. Good time filler for your time in Oban.

What should have been, with any civic vision, a lovely place to experience water or walking, is instead a tawdry car park surrounded by inappropriate and intrusive housing. Get in the car and head south - lots of lovely beaches and walking areas within 15 minutes drive.

I had been told how Ganavan had changed by numerous locals and how awful the new houses were and I can see what they mean. However the beach was lovely and the toilets clean.

Always love to walk along Ganavan beach when visiting Oban. Lovely clean beach with stunning views and lots of beautiful stones / rocks to examine. Coastal walk available. Plentiful parking. Beautiful and scenic drive out from Oban - a fantastic beach whatever the weather.

Assuming this means Ganavan and not Little Ganavan, it's a beautiful beach with amazing views and a large car park. What more can be said. It's a great shame that it is overshadowed by such a dreadful housing estate. How they ever got planning permission is beyond me. However, walk along to the end of the beach and you leave... More

What a lovely place. I have been visiting Oban for many years and only just discovered this place. Very clean and tidy. Wonderful walks around the coast and very handy for Oban. Would love to see this place in a storm.

Great views over the bay, good car park (free) Can walk to Dunstaffnage castle from here, or nice walk along the bay.
