We went on this tour and we're not disappointed. It was the Queen Mums home as a child. It holds many amazing trinkets. The tour gives you a good taste of several rooms. The ghost stories are interesting as well. Make sure you go out to the back pasture to see the long haired cows. There is a nice cafe... More

This is an incredibly imposing castle, and we had a brilliant family visit there. My heart sank slightly when I realised that we had to wait for a guided tour, but actually, our guide made the whole visit very successful. She was full of facts and stories, but just the right amount, without the children getting bored. Glamis feels like... More

All staff on duty made visitors welcome. The tour through the castle was very interesting, with the guide knowledgable and taking time to allow visitors to explore each room - certainly did not feel as being rushed through. The gardens are worth a visit on their own and we shall certainly be back.

Two day event for one of the biggest gatherings of classic cars. Brilliant, from old to new and everything in between. Something for the whole family to enjoy.

We had not planned on this castle, but saw a sign on the hiway and I veered us off to find a new castle to explore. My 20yr old son and I had a long day of driving round trip and found this hidden gem aboit halfway between Aberdeen and Edinburgh. A lot of history as to be expected, a... More

First time at Glamis - felt there could have been more signage to direct you to the correct car parking area when you entered the front gate- member of staff at ticket booth wasn't exactly welcoming, however staff inside were very helpful and the gentleman carrying out the tour was very informative and kept the tour group involved throughout. A... More

Glamis castle is a very well-preserved beautiful castle. The inside of the castle can only be visited with a guided tour. Our guide (Brian, if I remember correctly) was really great. His explanations were interesting and he was always open for questions and gave us enough time to look around in every room. He also was great with the children... More

Glamis Castle is a must see as far as I am concerned. The Queen Mother spent many years there and summers there until 3 years before she died. Many personal photos were around. We loved it because generations lived there and it was kept as it was when the Queen Mother lived there. Guide was fabulous

We visited the Castle in May with a large tour group. A large group often comes with the problem of queuing to gain entry to the interior, as everyone arrives at the same time. After a minor delay the maximum number of visitors per tour was counted out. I can't remember 20/30?. However, the young guide was very enthusiastic and... More
