Our guide was knowledgable and informative as we toured many rooms holding treasures housed here for centuries. Besides the beautiful artwork, the arms collection and hunting memorabilia is extensive. The tour offers a bit of insight to the Queen Mother's family history and Elizabeth's early childhood. The gift shop carries interesting items that generally seemed quite reasonably priced.

Visited this beautiful castle with my wife and sister-in-law and all three of us were delighted with every aspect of our visit. First good impression was that the car park was free (many places - like Chatsworth House whack an additional charge onto the admission fee). The Gift Shop is one of the very best I've seen, with a range... More

lovely castle and grounds. Many historic artifacts. Disappointing that you can not photograph the splendor inside or find adequate postcards to purchase

Fantastic day out. Welcoming, free roaming and spectacular. The castle is magical, the scenery stunning and a reminder of the historical links between Scotland and England. Friendly staff and lovely restaurant.

We were greeted very warmly by a lady member of staff at the top of the stairs where you wait for your tour to begin. She was very jolly and made everyone welcome. We joined others to make up a party of around 20 people. Our guide, Claire, was enthusiastic and amusing. I must say her diction and the projection... More

We have been to many castles in Scotland, but this is our favorite. Besides a beautiful setting and storybook appearance, it has wonderful guest facilities and the most interesting gift shop we have seen. The café and restaurant were very good. What really made this a sensational tour was that after the guide takes you into each of the beautiful... More

The only way to see through Glamis is by taking an escorted tour. They run regularly and the guide we had was very good, lots of information about the castle's history, royalty and legends and even some ghost stories! There are 10 rooms available for viewing, all interesting and lots to see.

I tried to post this review last year but it wouldn't load we took my mother in law to visit the castle and the staff couldn't have been more helpful, from the guides to the gateman they made her feel special and in the Restaurant staff treated her like a queen for the day as it was her Birthday they... The grounds are great, good to visit on a nice day. Lovely woodland walk along the river, found the walled garden and were the only ones there. Still a work in progress and will be good to see them again when they're finished. Would have been nice to have them planted out to provide produce for the restaurant and to... More

Glamis (pronounced "glamz") Castle is impressive at first sight and grows more so as you approach along the lengthy driveway. Most of the rooms are off limits but what is shown is spectacular... The guides are excellent and will answer any questions about the castle and its history.
