Our guide was engaging and entertaining as we were taken through a portion of this castle where the late Queen Mother was born. Stories gave an insight into her family and up-bringing. The Highland Cattle with calves were precious and the gardens were lovely to wander through.

We visited Glamis Castle on a rainy Monday. Just driving up to the castle was breathtaking but nothing compared to the inside. We aren't normally fans of guided tours but our guide was brilliant even with a multicultural group. Would definitely recommend a visit.

The tour of the beautiful castle and grounds was quite informative and concise. The castle is easily accessible, and the grounds are quite walkable. A nice gift shop and cafe add to the experience. IThe castle can be couple be coupled with Glen Clous into an easy day trip with lunch.

Touring Glamis Castle was one of the highlights of our 10-day visit to Scotland. The tour takes you all around the main parts of the castle and our tour guide was extremely well informed, stopping in every room and giving a brief history while pointing out interesting details and facts. Allow yourselves some time to wander around the extensive gardens... More

Very disappointed with this event. Have been to several proms at Glamis before and expected the same standard of entertainment. There was no "flow", after the compere had talked for ten minutes there was a further break of ten minutes. Norman Bowman forgot his words and didn't seem too bothered by that - most unprofessional. The string quartet were good,... More

I recently enjoyed an afternoon at Glamis castle and took part in a guided tour which lasted just over an hour. The guide was very informative and not boring at all. The only downside was the number of visitors on this tour, there must have been about 25-30 people which was a tight squeeze in the smaller rooms. There are... More

This had just the right mix of geneaology, portraiture and furniture explained to us, and our guide delivered the tour enthusiastically and clearly. It was well-paced, and the castle itself contains an interesting mix of periods. The gardens are also some of the best I've seen.

The tour in the castle was the highpoint of the visit, it should not be missed. The castle is beautiful. The gardens as well, although there is not such a large variety of flowers. The gift shop is somewhat bland, although the restaurant and café is well worth a visit. Afternoon tea is only served till 16.30, even though the... More

What a disappointment. Was more like the Elaine Paige show and with songs I didn't recognise, I was soon very bored. Susan Boyle was fantastic but only on for two songs. It lacked a Scottish theme and with the magnificent backdrop of Glamis Castle, you would expect a lively performance to rouse the many thousands who were there. Having been... More
