Because of the family connection, I've visited the Folk Museum many times over the years. The cottages are beautifully and lovingly preserved, presenting a way of life far simpler than ours, and with many more hardships. No electricity, no central heating, no running water. Most people visit the village of Glamis to visit the castle. The Angus Folk museum shows how "ordinary" people lived as well as the lord and lady of the manor... Extremely worthwhile. Glamis village with its thatched roofs and ancient Celtic standing stone is also well worthwhile. More
