This was the best course I have played of the 6-7 in Scotland or England I have played. No driving range but made up for the great service from the initial check-in to the final good-bye to the caddie. I would make this the number one course to play the next time I am in Scotland.

Great golf venue!! This is a must play golf course in Scotland. I had the best caddy ever. FYI-no driving range.

Three excellent courses with a different feel to each. Quite surprising given that they interlink in the same piece of land. Really good experience for all standards of golfer -- we were very lucky with the weather -- if the wind were to be strong it would become a very stern test.

No doubt the toughest Links course in the world - but playable. In relation to other "renowned" links courses, Carnoustie is much more affordable, the staff are extremely friendly and accommodating and the caddies make this course a venue to remember. Hope to be back urgently.

Made a day of it stopping by Carnoustie and St. Andrews. The Alfred Dunhill Links Championship was in progress. It was a miserable day with the weather windy, chilly and rainy. It is a beautiful venue which I know my husband and son will want to play someday.

The layout of the course is quite challenging with fast green. If you're not used to the links course, more time and experience are needed to get used to the environment of the course. This course will also host future "The Open Championship". If you are single golfer, test yourself from the back tees!! As an avid golfer myself, I've... More

Played Carnoustie on a nice, calm, windless Scotland day. I had preconceived notions that it would be brutally tough and found it to be fair ( probably needed more wind to defend it ). Greens were beautiful, caddies were OK, great experience but I put it in the middle in my ratings of the major courses I played in Scotland.... More

Apart from the interesting and historic holes and large and challenging but true greens on a balmy day, the thing which stood out for me was the great caddying: Gary was outstanding - interested, positive and supportive, relaxed and good humoured, but professional and really canny with his advice. Great experience.

Trying to play as many of The Open venues as possible, we were fortunate to play this on a calm day. As I always need to warm up before golf by hitting a bucket of balls, I was stunned to discover that there were no practice facilities available other than a net and putting green. There was a pitching area,... More
