Arrived on 25th May for a 3 day golfing break. From start to finish it was an absolute pleasure the staff at the hotel couldn't have been more helpful. The room overlooking the 18th green just made the holiday. Room very clean and tidy facilities superb and after a round of golf the jacuzzi was a welcome sight. The food... More

Relaxed, atmosphere, well organised, excellent condition, fantastic course(s). We played all three courses Buddon Sat pm, Burnside Sun, Championship Mon. As you may guess the quality started high and got better in terms of challenge, and condition and sheer beauty.

We only walked the links courses but it was clear that these are fantastic golf courses especially the championship course. Around the links courses there sand dunes where willd flowers, birds and animals live within the Military Ranges. Providing the red flags are not flying, there are great walks in the dunes

Wow! I only have one more Open Rota course to play and this one ranks up there alongside Muirfield as the best and in my top 5 all time. We had a warm reception in the Pro Shop and the Starter was superb making us feel at ease before a daunting first tee shot. Here we received complimentary Course Guides... More

She can be brutal, but she is always fair ... A date with this fine lady isn't always the easiest, but when you know that she has caused problems for most of the best golfers in the world, you accept that the score is somewhat off your normal home club score ... Carnoustie Golf Links is a MUST to for... More

We played the Championship course on a day with a stiff breeze and it was brilliant. Just enough wind to get a real feel of the course but not too much. The greens were in brilliant condition, all the staff were very welcoming and the whole experience was first rate. You can really feel the history of the place. It... More

First let me say the day we played this course there was very little wind. We all had a ball with the experience but this is a difficult course for most to play and enjoy. On a windy day I don't know how anyone could play the course. I believe 8 holes are over 400 yards (all into the wind),... More

Thank you for the feedback. Yes Carnoustie doesn't get the reputation for being the toughest for no reason but delighted you enjoyed the experience. There is only one Everest and maybe Carnoustie is golf's version. You will have seen that it is also a very fair golf course where good shots rewarded and bad shots punished. Thank you for taking... As a member of the Buddon Course I can only say that it is a pleasure to play and is not treated as the poor relation to the other two courses. Fantastic views and a good test of golf

As a novice golfer I really enjoyed playing the Buddon Course followed by a drink on the verandah of the Hotel
