Great day, Nick Nairn was very friendly very approachable and his instructions very sympathetic, I probably learned more regarding the planning than the execution, but that's probably because that was what struck me more, just how little planning I actually do when cooking, I can only speak about Nicks personal class, but I will be back for more.

I was treated like someone who knew nothing about food, almost patronised. I think it was because of the way I dressed, I was in a hoodie (expensive!!) and jeans and trainers, I could probably have spent so much money in there but would rather go to John Lewis for my cookware. They were shocking.

Hi Sarah We are sorry that you felt patronised when you came into the cook school, please be assured that this is neither the standard level of customer service or the way we wish our customers to feel. Can you let us know the date and time that you came into the shop and we will be able to address... More

My husband and I recently did the fish and chips cook night. We have done most of the quick cook classes on offer and also a full day cook class and can't recommend the experiences at the cook school highly enough. We have cooked mainly with Andy and he is very knowledgable and passionate about what he does and passes... More

Been here twice now and highly recommend it. Did a class with Nick and Callum who owns the Bay fish and chip shop in Stonehaven. It was brilliant and the food was unreal. If you can do that class I would highly recommend it, a bit pricey but worth the money afterwards!

I attended the inaugural Asian Adventure course on 6th Feb and from start to finish it was just superb. It wasn't just about learning how to cook the dishes on the day, it was about learning core techniques that can easily be applied to many other ingredients and dishes. Nick was totally down to earth, hilarious fun and so receptive... More

I am writing this on here as I feel very disgruntled every time I get an advertising email sent to me from Nick Nairn cookery school . WHY? On seeing an advert on tv to buy gift vouchers for the cookery school in advance of its opening , I bought 2 , one for my daughter and her partner .... More

I've been to the cook school a couple of times and really can't fault it. What made the lessons particularly good was the tutors, John and Andy. They both had a tangible passion for food and cooking, and an incredible knowledge gathered from years of experience in professional kitchens. The patience of the tutors really helps to really learn the... More

We thoroughly enjoyed every part of the experience from start to finish, probably the fastest 8 hours of my life though. The team were brilliant and made everyone feel welcome. we were on the full day feast of fish day. I can 100% recommend it to anyone that wants a day out. or improve there cooking skills. I will definitely... More

I attended a 3 hour steak and cheesecake class as part of a company event and, not being a fan of celebrity chefs and TV cooking shows, was not overly looking forward to it. However I found the experience very enjoyable and the 3 hours flew past. The class was led by an engaging and knowledgeable chef with none of... More
