Royal Aberdeen provided the final leg of our golf odyssey 2014! It was another test of all our golfing ability. The course and clubhouse had some serious history as displayed by the recent Walker Cup photos and the impending arrival of the top professionals to the Scottish open, to be held later on this year. The course was in fantastic... More

I have to totally disagree with Lindg comments regarding the membership at Royal Aberdeen. I know several members at the club and it is not like that at all. The members are friendly and very welcoming of visitors. The set up with the ladies works very well as they have full access to both courses and have many matches with... More

A separate ladies and gents clubhouse speaks volumes for the mindset of the membership. Stereotype everything that is bad in the modern game of golf - checked jackets, striped shirts and plus four brigade with a gin and tonic plus cigar. They now have a monstrosity of a turbine overlooking this club and a shadow can be seen on a... More

This is one of the top golf courses in the North East. I enjoyed spectating at the Walker Cup two years ago and was very impressed. This year it hosts the Scottish Open which illustrates well its deserved status and standing.

The front 9 are the best 9 holes I have ever played, anywhere, and the back 9 (while not as spectacular) are excellant as well. MAKE THE EFFORT to play there and you'll never forget it.

Have played RA for many years as a guest or visitor in managed events. Has always been one of my favourites, played in August at the Grampian Houstan charity event, and although it was shortened to 15holes this piece of land is an absolute stunning place to play golf. The approaches to the greens are as good as many greens... More

Great course, a stunning layout, fantastic condition. Every golfer should try and play this course at least once. To make it an even better day, make sure that you dine in the clubhouse, excellent food and great value.

This outstanding golf course which began in 1780 was carefully crafted into the topography of the seaside in North Aberdeen. The land has not been manipulated into a golf course. Rather the golf course was shaped to fit the hills, undulations, and valleys of the land. This is a true links course with treachery possible from all directions but fairly... More

wonderful dunes on the front nine and a bit flatter on the back. The kitchen in the clubhouse closes at 4pm which ment we had to find someplace else to have a post round meal.
