Best played in calm weather. A challenge for the higher handicap golfers. Wonderful condition and well worth playing. Can be difficult to get to at peak traffic hours.

Great course. The front nine is great. Lots of blind shots towards what appear to be sand dunes. Then you arrive at the ball and you are in a green valley between the dunes. The back nine is against the wind and a tough way home. Loved it but not for the faint hearted.

It was a windy day and a little drizzle to add to the insult. This made the course even more challenging. The course is a typical links course with rather narrow fairways and deadly grouse every which way. Of course it goes without saying you have to avoid the nasty pot bunkers. Some you can see and some you find... More

We were scheduled to play Trump Scotland so we asked our agent to book another round in Aberdeen so that we would not be making the 3 hour drive from St. Andrews just to play Trump. Our agent selected Royal Aberdeen and boy were we glad he did. Out of the 7 courses we played on our trip, Royal Aberdeen... More

Old school with separate women's and men's club houses. Limited visitor times. Testy members. First tee is backed by the dining room. Tiny (but well stocked) pro shop. Hard to find. Yet despite all these barriers I look forward to playing here as much as any course in Scotland. It's not a stretch to suggest the opening nine are as... More

We brought kids here and it was hard to learn much for them. No fault of theirs, by the way. Service was excellent and I would come here again, just as a couple probably.
