The front 9 are the best 9 holes I have ever played, anywhere, and the back 9 (while not as spectacular) are excellant as well. MAKE THE EFFORT to play there and you'll never forget it.
Have played RA for many years as a guest or visitor in managed events. Has always been one of my favourites, played in August at the Grampian Houstan charity event, and although it was shortened to 15holes this piece of land is an absolute stunning place to play golf. Great course, a stunning layout, fantastic condition. Every golfer should try and play this course at least once. To make it an even better day, make sure that you dine in the clubhouse, excellent food and great value.

wonderful dunes on the front nine and a bit flatter on the back. The kitchen in the clubhouse closes at 4pm which ment we had to find someplace else to have a post round meal.
front 9 are one of the best playing through the dunes. back very hard into wine. host of 2014 scottish open.. great track
Fantastic tradition and should never be changed. one of the toughest courses we have ever played, all of a decent handicap 11 and under, we had the calmest day of the year not a breath of wind but what a great course. food in the clubhouse is just what you need and we loved the hospitality of all the staff.... This is a truely first class golf course steeped on glorious tradition and a must play if the rates are sensible (which they may not be!!). Always fearful of courses that feature a number... More
The course is gorgeous - great views of Aberdeen - The course is VERY difficult for a bogey golfer. Tiny narrow fairways - huge rough and many many hidden bunkers, but the walk and views offset the agony of bad golf. Also there are no restroom facilities on the course so be warned. The staff is very friendly and accommodating... More
