Saw this as we walked past didn't know it was there. It is a fine statue of a great man. Well worth a visit if you are in the vicinity.

If you are a Wallace fan, then you will appreciate the photo op. However, you really should visit the National Wallace Monument in Stirling.

Very well designed, crafted and mounted - with interesting historical plaque. But, located in wrong place - about 1/4 mile from city main street (Union Street). Good photo opportunity along with others of the Theatre and Aberdeen's "Bon-Accord" mascot. Really, for its importance in Scots history this state should be relocated to Union Street Bridge and replace the one of... More

Its a really beautiful statue of William Wallace, just outside the library and His Majesty's theatre. Quite a good place to arrange meeting friends as everyone knows where it is.

This dramatic statue is very much part of the city landscape in Aberdeen, in a fairly central location, and certainly worth seeking out for a photo opportunity - whether you are interested in the history of the man or not. Quite amusing when birds decide to use it for a perch.

If you want to peer inside the psyche of the average Scot then this statue really sums it all up - particularly take note of the wording inscribed in the foundation stone....and within the hearts of most Scots....

Very interesting statue. What can you say about a statue. It had several inscriptions that were interesting to read and a good location not out of the way to locate

I caught a bus next to this statue my entire school life. So for it to be an attraction on TripAdvisor boggles the mind. I have to give it five stars simply out of nostalgia. What it means to a visitor, I couldn't say ...
