It's a great place to visit if you've just watched Braveheart and the 'history' of the story is great. But when you find out that it isn't a true story and the sword and 'artefacts' inside the statue are actually proven not to be genuine, It does take the spin of it. I get why it's there, to encourage patriotism... More

This statue is absolutely terrific and the pose is excellent. Situated in a scenic area with Prince Albert's statue just behind the Wallace statue. If in the area it is impossible not to see it.

He is a great inspiration for Scotland, and should also be for the world. Live Free or Die! I stopped in Aberdeen while on a train trip from Edinburgh to Kyle of Lochalsh.

Nice place where the statue is. Beautiful neighbourhood, theatre, beautiful park and a nice view of the city. The statue is well conserved, with nice information signs around and the history is so expressive and well known that worths seeing it again.

Every Aberdonian passes this statue regularly, but how many stop to look at it? It is on Rosemount Viaduct directly across from the three buildings known locally as Education, Salvation and Damnation (the Central Library, St Mark's Church and His Majesty's Theatre). It is very impressive and makes a nice change from the rather staid ones of Queen Victoria and... More

A beautiful setting high on the hill overlooking stirling and the water, fantastic views and a great monument to wallace and the poets...very honest presentation.

I see William Wallace's statue often, but never tire of seeing him. I find William an impressive statue, who manages to look dignified on his plinth. Love him, but I am a Scot.

We took a 20 min walk from satrosphere to the statue and it was definitely worth it...it may just be a statue but it presented some real family laughter posing for photos in the same pose as Wallace...then afternoon tea immediately opposite at his majesty's theatre cafe (excellent prices and half those of satrosphere!)...great memories created from a simple statue!

I walk past the statue every day on my way to work and it never gets boring. Well worth a visit if you are in Aberdeen for a visit
