Hubby is a fan of Fettercairn whisky and had wanted to visit the distillery for some time. We weren't disappointed, we got a tour just the 2 of us and it was very enjoyable and informative even to me as I don't drink whisky and didn't really have an interest in it! Denise took us round and certainly knew her... More

it wasn't busy at all when we visited this place in May. Located in between beautiful fields and hills. A lady showed us around. It was interesting to see how the facility works. staff was friendly...

We popped into this delightful little distillery and were pleasantly surprised. Somewhat off the traditional whiskey trail, I was a little sceptical about what we'd find, but was proven wrong by the excellent whiskey we found. The extremely friendly staff were more than happy for us to try their two standard malts, Fasque and Fior, the latter being far superior.... More

Stopped here for a tour to this quite old-looking distillery from the outside. We were served by a kind lady, who showed us around, and saw all their areas plus viewing area for the warehouse (sigh). Although the commentary is good enough for beginners, for those more interested in whisky, well, nothing special. Also felt that the tour was too... More

Perhaps not the greatest distillery in Scotland - but with a lot of the old buildings still preserved and because it is little, they can do some really nice informative and personalised tours - we had a great time.

A fun tour - not too much, but a great local place. Went on the tour with a young teenager and we were all entertained and informed. We marveled at the way Scotch used to be made, and learned a great deal. At the end of the tour, adults got a nice sample of some fantastic stuff...kids got juice. A... More

We made the trip of about an hour to Fettercairn from Aberdeen - the time at the distillery was very enjoyable but the village itself was a sparkling silver lining. The distillery tour was well done, friendly and informative with the opportunity to taste and learn. We loved it. We spent probably a little less than an hour there. But... More

Visited from Aberdeen - about 30 minutes drive. The distillery works 24 hours a day and for £3.50 per adult and under 18s free you get a guided tour of the distillery and a wee dram (for the over 18s only!). It was quite when we visited so we had a personal tour with one of the guides who was... More

Me and my wife loves Fettercairn whisky therefore visited here for our Honey Moon last summer. (all the way from Japan) As a whisky mania, this distillery is very famous for the cascading potstill refering the Unicorn which is the Crest of the Ramsay Family. We have appllied the Manager tour and therefore Distillery Manager David has guided us around... More
