If you want another free day out in Aberdeen I can recommend a day at the Duthie park and a visit to the winter gardens is a must see. The work that has gone into keeping the place is amazing. A good place to visit on a crisp fall day but the park is a great place all year round,... More

Duthie Park is a park I grew up playing in this great park from a young age being that I was born 300 yards away from it. The winter gardens is something Aberdeen is proud of and so it should because it is beautiful and well maintained by the park staff. Walking through the cactus house I was saddned to... More

It's great to see the Duthie Park restored to it's Victorian splendour. With the winter gardens, vast grassy areas, kids play park, boating pond, fountains and beautiful floral boarders and ancient trees, there is something for everyone. We took a romantic stroll around the gardens one evening and despite this grand park being in the centre of Aberdeen, it is... More

As a keen gardener I was looking forward to a botanical walk around the winter gardens however there is a few little things that left me bewildered. For example the frogs head that comes out of the water looks like it's been there since the 70s surely they can add a children's attraction that encourages some green little fingers. I... More

Well worth a visit - I particularly enjoyed the tropical section, and the carnivorous plants :) The victorian corridor had some spectacular hanging baskets - would love a few of those in my own garden :)
