As a child the Duthie Park Winter Gardens was one of my favourite places to go and to this day it still is. I cant resist trying to get a coin in the both the little frog and Mcpuddock. Mcpuddock is of course my all time favrouite frog! The gardens are very warm and this is why I especially love... More

I first visited 40 years ago and it's a delightful place to come on a drizzly afternoon. The gardens are beautifully presented, there's always something new and the staff are helpful and friendly. There's a shop there now and we bought a few items as gifts for friends at better prices than you'd get at a garden centre. Great Aberdeen... More

Lovely gardens with real mix of exhibits, and a relaxing atmosphere while walking around. I was a little dissappointed to find that although the gardens were open until 5.30pm, the plant shop and coffee shop closed at 4pm the day of my visit, especailly as it was a lovely afternoon and there were still a good number of peole milling... The winter gardens is a lovely refuge from the mad life around Aberdeen. You can spend as long as you like wandering through the different greenhouses. The cacti are amazing. It is always entertaining to tell people that you have seen bananas and pineapples growing in Aberdeen - here you can!

Another trip to the winter gardens today. I have been coming here since I was wee and took my kids here when they were wee. Thoroughly enjoyed today's trip and had a lovely chat with Spike, next time you are thirsty in Montrose Spike give us a shout lol. Love the renovation work that's been done.

Duthie Pak has changed a bit (no rose garden) but the glasshouses are still there and full of smashing flowers and plants. Free and there is a tearoom adjoining - just the place to go when it is raining (or snowing)
