I used to work very nearby and would walk to Duthie park gardens in my lunch hour. It was always a very calm place and I used to love sitting there eating by sandwich or in better weather stroll around the grounds outside. The cafe is what you'd expect. usually quite busy but the food is ok. Nothing amazing but... More

Lots of beautiful and exotic plants. Free entry and a great place to go on a rainy day as almost all under cover.

If you visit Aberdeen add Duthie Winter Garden to your list. It is one of the largest indoor gardens in Europe. Each room has a different theme ... Cactus, rainforest, etc. The hydrangeas are spectacular. There are also white metal lace work seats throughout as memories of family members who loved the garden.

We visited in February so perhaps a bit too early to expect to see masses of flowering plants although it is a few years since we last visited and its certainly looking like the funding has dried up. The greenhouses were not heated as they used to be and so were very cold. Not able to hang around and enjoy... More

Not knowing what to expect, we were more than pleasantly surprised. It's a huge area of Greenhouses, containing just about at least one of almost every plant in the world? Beautifully displayed, they make a fabulous sight. Lots of interest for youngsters too; e.g. fish and frogs, to say the least. Congratulations to all the staff who work there. They... More

Didn't see much of the park due to heavy rain but the glass house was well maintained and had lots of quirky features to keep the kids interested.
