Well I am not a great art lover and popped in here to get out of the rain but to be honest they have some nice works of art. But even if you hate art go there just for the wonderful building.

This was a great venue for our conference dinner and the surroundings very nice with various arts on display in the galleries. The main feature was a water fountaing with streams of water onto a sculpture in the centre around which all the dining tables were located. The Art Gallery has it's 'regular' displays but also many exhibitions. It has lunch-time recitals, a cafe (with lovely cake!) and a well-stocked gift shop. I am planning my next visit.
Spacious, attractive and well curated exhibits. I was impressed with the range of artworks on display from the classic to the modern. Good coffee shop too.
Thoroughly recommend the Aberdeen Art Gallery. They have some amazing pieces and its a great day out. The staff are very friendly and they had some interesting exhibitions when I visited.

The café is also good value but could perhaps be refurbished to improve the...

To see this painting in real life is to appreciate the artist's use of rich colours to express a mood. There are works by Millais, Solomon, Holman Hunt, William Scott, Crane and others. Waterhouse's 'Penelope and her Suitors' is on the line but is difficult to...
