Peadar O'Donnels, the home of Live traditional & contemporary music in Derry. On our premises we have 3 different bars – Peadar O’Donnells, the Gweedore Bar and Gweedore Upstairs. Peadars is known throughout the world and is a must visit location for the many tourists that flock to Derry in ever increasing numbers. We are famous for, among other things, our live music which is largely organised but has regular impromptu sessions from either local musicians or visiting performers. Whichever of our bars you would like to visit, you are guaranteed a warm welcome, a good time and the best pint of Guinness in Derry!

A classic Irish Pub, just outside of the Derry walls. A really friendly place, we were there on 2 nights, with incredible live music.

Arrived in Derry late, after dinner went out for a walk and happened by this place. I went in had a pint and watched the darts tournament for awhile. I met a few people, had a chat and another pint, then the band arrived and the fun began. I was up quite late that night, made some new friends, even... More

My partner and I went to Peadar O'Donnells bar for afternoon drinks. the staff was friendly, and gave a good service. Peadar O'Donnells is a traditional Irish bar, with live music, and has a friendly atmosphere. We had a lovely afternoon, would recommend this bar, and would go back.

Just popped in for a drink, roaring fire on the go and a great feeling in the place. Musicians randomly appeared and the sound of traditional music was excellent,,, was still there at closing time, lol, and just had to revist :-))

Really enjoyed our visit - we also watched football in the next door bar which is part of O'donnells called Gweedore. Staff were friendly and it had a great atmosphere. Only a 10 minute walk from the City Hotel. Recommend taking a wee time out to stop by for a Guinness!

If you want to go to an irish pub, you have to go to an irish pub. Believe me, this is an irish pub. Great beer, good music and good vibrations.

We visited Peadars last week, originally for the cheap drinks but ended up getting so much more! Sitting at the bar we got local knowledge from the very friendly locals and the best customer service from Celina and Liam behind the bar!!! Thanks for a great night guys, Carol and Maeve, the Cork and Kerry girls!

We stopped in on a Saturday night at about 7:30. The pub was busy but not overly crowded. The music was good and there was a lot of energy but most people seemed to be watching the football game on tv. The decor is interesting with flags on the ceiling from many countries and police badges on the wall.
