Its a river

A river running through the city. Nothing much happens. You can fish I suppose or take a walk along the quay. Some nice scenery and a few nice photo ops.

Yes, it has a history (all related to the town) and its a peaceful river on the side of a town but that's about it. It won't ever rival the more important rivers of the world

The River Foyle is a wide river flowing through the heart of Derry and has lovely walks along the side to take in the nature and beauty of the river. There are a lot of benches along it in parts to just sit back and relax and enjoy the world pass by on the Foyle.

somehow rivers always tends to attract me. I enjoyed the walk along the river, soaking in the sun and sifting through the charms of Derry/Londonderry. I guess it signifies a divide.

A larger river than I thought the River Foyle runs fast and right throughout Derry. The Peace Bridge which spans the River is a should visit site and a nice walk with great views

It was on my 'to do' list. We crossed the River Foyle on a warm April day but it was still very chilly on the bridge. The bridge is a beautiful structure and the views from the bridge are interesting.

If you are in Derry it's the main natural feature, with a good path, enjoy it. Relax why hurry, see the walls while you are at it. Go over the bridge. And if your wallet is not nailed shut go and see the museum too.The others are free.

I had no idea of the importance of the River Foyle and its important role during WWII. I also need not realize that it was so close to the Atlantic Ocean.

Another visitor must, lots of history behind this river, worth finding out about it. More fascinating than you would think, not just a strip of flowing water, it was a great benefit/asset to industry in and around Derry/Londonderry.

If you come to the city you can't avoid the river foyle. Steeped in history and divides the city, but it really does stink some days - especially near Domino's in the waterside.
