Having been baptised in St Eugene's Cathedral I may be biased in thinking the Cathedral is one of the most beautiful Cathedrals in Derry. Though I don't live in the city anymore and havent for 15+ years, I find the history and the architectural design of St Eugene's to be one of the most enlightening and gorgeous religous building to... The most beautiful Cathedral. Feels like another world while inside this building. Visited it recently and the Cathedral Choir happened to be there. Dressed in blue robes with a trim of gold - was spectacular. Never heard anything like them - they sounded magnificent. Derry city is richly blessed to have such a choir.

This is a beautiful church/cathedral, and just outside the old city walls. Well worth a visit if you appreciate architecture and beautiful churches and stained glass.

We attended a family wedding at this Cathedral this past weekend and it was a perfect venue for a wedding ceremony quite beautiful. The altar especially is captivating and very ornate. The aisle is very long and the stain glass windows are amazing. The sound from the priests microphone wasn't great at times and we were sitting in the fourth... More

This is a magnificent building at the top of William Street, on the city side of Derry. It cost 40,000 pounds to build, of which 4,000 was raised in America. The bell tower, spire and stained glass windows were added later, due to lack of funds at the time. I'm not religious, but enjoy seeing these old cathedrals and churches,... More

We were staying in Marlborough Street, which is just around the corner from the Cathedral. we got given the story of the public subscriptions that enabled the Cathedral to be built. Worth a visit if you are into churches.

This is one outstanding cathedral. Worth the 15 minute walk from the historic part of the city. A great place for quiet contemplation.
