Spent a lovely day in Derry having travelled by train. Walked back to the station over the peace bridge looking forward to a cuppa while waiting for the train. What a disappointment! 4:30 & all locked up - only a vending machine & very few seats. Come on you can do better for a station at the end of one... More

Such hassel free travel. leave your car and take this train to Belfast, on its clean and friendly ,efficient service. Enjoy stunning scenic countryside/sea views as you travel ,with no care about traffic jams, parking spaces. Arive fresh and ready to hit the city with plenty of energy.

A pleasant journey from Coleraine. Trains of good quality. No buffet car. but wonderful views. Worth seeing but not worth making a special journey just to see. best combined with another adventure

The ever changing scenery is not only beautiful but interesting. Our conductor gave us a running commentary which was so unexpected! He did so with grace and humour which was one of the highlights of the trip. The train is quiet and comfortable and the complimentary bus at the end takes you right into the centre of Derry. Perfect day... More

Great way to travel. Used the railway for a day trip to Portrush. Excellent and great standard? Staff were very good and helpful at both the station and on board the train. Would advise to use as the journey is great and the scenery is picturesque!!

i took this route on their family-day with 3 kids aged 2,1,1. the service, cleanliness, toilet facilities, helpfulness with the double buggy (and one on the back!) was great and very much appreciated, especially as I was quite apprehensive about taking my 3 on my own! I didn't realise how much the kids would love the experience or how easy... More

Fabulous scenery along this coastal rail. But how hard is it to terminate the londonderry station near the city center? You can walk the 2 km in the freezing gusty winds or take the shuttle bus to town. Would It not be better to put the station on the city side of the river? Really?

A very busy train enroute to Lumiere in Derry city. We got on at starting point so had a shared table on the 'right' side of train for the magical scenery. It's a great journey and shouldn't be missed!

Just step on the train in Duke Street in the Waterside and sit down on the train and relax and enjoy your scenic journey on the river side of the train. It only takes approximately 40 minutes from Derry to Coleraine. There's not much to dislike about this journey it's smooth and very relaxing. This train eventually goes to Belfast.... More
