Had an excellent tour of the Walls with Martin McCrossan's City Tours. Tour guide was hugely knowledgeable but made the history of the city accessible to locals & visitors alike. He was an engaging guide and even burst into a song written in the city at one point! His hopes for continued peace & progress in the country I found... More

Martin McCrossan's walking tour is the only way to see the city by foot. We were very lucky and got the man himself and for only £5 including a free tea/coffee it was well worth it. Apparently there are people out there charging an arm and a leg for the same tour, so be warned. Martin is from a mixed... More

If you want to get a firsthand feel for what the Irish people have endured and conquered, take this tour. It brought tears to my eyes more than once. Marty is your man!

I work for a study abroad program and this walking tour of Derry with Martin McCrosson's tour was part of our itinerary. Oftentimes college students aren't particularly interested in history, but our guide Garvin kept my group of students captivated and engaged for well over an hour! Anyone who can do that gets an A+ in my book! My students... More

Having lived within 5 miles of Derry/Londonderry I decided to go on the walking tour and am I glad that I did. Having had some idea of the history of this great city the tour filled in all the gaps, I reccomend it to all including locals you will not be dissapointed and will understand our shared history a lot... I took a group of young people and their teachers for an educational visit to Derry in late September 2014. From the minute I rang Martin(the owner of the company) to organise the tour, I received a professional, efficient and friendly service. The tour guide that hosted us in Derry specifically created a bespoke tour that had an educational and... More

When in derry/londonderry this tour should be on your list. Martin mccrossan has been doing these tours now for 20 years and they are definitely worth it. The walk is only half a mile but takes about an hour. He tells the story of Derrys Walls. The Troubles there and the City during WW2 where the Germans surrendered their U... More

John our guide told the story of Derry with great passion and enthusiasm. He brought the city to life with great stories and an unmatched knowledge of the walled city. John dealt with the (sometimes) controversial history with great delicacy and respect, and ensured a totally unbiased and neutral point of view was presented. If you only do one thing... More

An essential start for a visit to Derry, I wish I had signed up for it on my first visit! John, our guide, presented the City beautifully, with a very evident pride in the amazing progression that the people of Derry have achieved! I had read previous tripadvisor reviews of apparent bias towards one religion - this is absolutely not... More
