My husband and I along with a histoirical group visited the Tower Museum. The presentation was excellent, the tour guide took his time to explain everything and had a sense of humour.

Fascinating museum set over 5 floors of the old tower next to the Guildhall. A very interesting history of the city of Derry from the earliest times to the present day, is on the ground floor of the museum. The top floors were dedicated to the wreck of a Spanish galleon from the ill-fated Armada in 1588, each of them... More

This is an excellent museum which tells the history of Londonderry/Derry right from its early beginnings to the modern day, including the troubles but also the part played by the city and its people in World War II, for example. Good mix of information in detail for those who want to read it, video and audio simulations, pictures and photographs... More

We had planned our day in Derry with "outside activities", and when it rained ducked into the Tower Museum out of the rain. How fortunate for us! The staff at the museum were awesome. Needed more time here but hunger got in the way outside there was a street drama going on very stark. The museum is very modern but there was no facility that day to have a coffee and a sit down
