As Michael was busy elsewhere, he asked Christy to guide my husband and I around Derry while our cruise ship was in town. Christy picked us up in Greencastle and we drove out the Inishowen peninsula, all the while listening to Christy's personal history during The Troubles. Back in Derry, Christy showed us the Bogside Murals, guided us along the... More

Having contacted Michael Cooper, I was discourage to learn that he was already booked on the day that our ship would dock in Portrush. However, he put me in touch with Chris Kyle, who did a very good job for us. At first I had trouble corresponding with Chris, but with Michael's help, we were finally off to a good... More

My wife and I joined Michael Cooper for a walk around the Walls Of Derry, at the end of May 2015. It was a very wet and windy day, but we persisted with the walk, rather than the taxi tour, because we wanted to be on the Walls. Michael's commentary was very interesting and informative and although we had to... More

We spent three incredible days with Michael, first in Derry, then in the northern part of Donegal, and wrapping up on the Antrim coast. His perspective as active politician was truly unique and enhanced the experience for us, in addition to his vast knowledge of history, geography and culture. We were very happy not to drive the country roads ourselves,... More

Derry Blue Badge tours and our guide, Adrian, were fantastic. We did the day tour of the Donegal highlands and it was the highlight of our 2 weeks in Ireland. Adrian was a gifted storyteller and wove hundreds of years of history through the day-long tour. The sights on this tour were breathtaking and Adrian was great about slowing down... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of the causeway coast. We have recommended Michael's tours to our friends and would encourage everyone to do his tours. One of us is from Derry and has studied the history of Ireland at university while the other is from Sweden. Both of us were extremely impressed with the amount of information at such a... More

Michael Cooper's Museum Curator/University Professor quality tour guideship of Northern Ireland was a revelation in its thorough and penetrating insights into what has been going on in this area between Irish and English forces since the 12th century - and more…. Michael is an engaging and scrupulously helpful person who met his responsibilities with an aplomb rarely encountered and so... More

Michael was our coach tour guide for our beautiful visit to the sights of Belfast and Giants Causeway. He has a great knowledge of the area, a pleasant personality and a great sense of humor. We enjoy taking a lot of pictures and Michael gave us plenty of time for this. We highly recommend Michael for any tours of the... More
