A fantastic venue, high quality accommodation, great food, and first rate equipment. However all this is exceeded buy the quality of the instruction and staff. A fun, supportive learning environment which also provided one of the most challenging courses I have been on in years. I'm still thinking about it several weeks later. And soft brownies as well.

Great way of spending a Thursday evening. Limited experience needed, great guide, 2 hours on water - stopped over on island for a break. Highly recommended.

I had a very enjoyable night with staff from the centre in kayaks on Strangford Lough. The staff were very knowledgable ,experienced and friendly. They were very encouraging and made myself and my daughter at ease in the kayaks. A very worthwhile experience I would highly recommend .

Great 3 day course. Usual high standard of L5 coaches doing the delivery (cheers Oisin & Tom). Good mix of theory and putting it all into practice. Used to think I was OK as a coach but clearly a lot still to learn. The boys made it all good fun and the craic was excellent. Roll on the discipline specific... More

Tollymore has gone through tremendous change from log cabins to a fully fledged international centre to be proud of. Courses run are at the highest standard of international qualifications that can be run in Northern Ireland. There is a conference suite and good food. Training facilities are top notch and the centre is looked after well. If you are looking... More

I attended a hill and moorland leader assessment which required two extra overnights due to us travelling from the Isle of Man. The staff were extremely helpful with booking the course and extra residential requirements. The centre is of a very high quality and we were looked after really well. The course itself was professionally run and the location in... More

A fantastic building in a lovely environment. Excellent facilities (climbing wall, rolling pool, endless gear assortment); great instructors in major outdoor activities. Suprisingly luxurious en-suite twin and triple rooms, full Ulster Fry breakfasts, decent lunches and dinners too. Go - for a weekend of walking, or paddling, or biking, or climbing, or just enjoying the lovely scenery.

Have been to the mountain centre on two occasions and both times the staff and facilities have been first class. The catering is also very good. Once there you soon realise the vast array of courses and facilities on offer. The only draw back for me personally is that it is a two hour drive from my home or I... More

This was our first experience of Kayaking and we were hoping for a beautiful day on Strangford Lough but ended up instead with a wet windy cold day. So much for Irish weather. Our course was then switched to the Quoile River Downpatrick at short notice and but this was well handled and information as to what we could now... More
