Kevan Whitson and his team are the top of their game. Course was amazing and so great to have an experience like that. My score was not that hot but will stay in my memory as a wonderful father and son moment with my Dad. Royal county Downs ROCKS!

Have eaten a few times good enough value for the money with out breaking the bank. Any time I have been we seem to be the only ones in the place but have past many a time and the car park is full

A gorgeous, tough course. Loved the historical photos. It is a bit pricey, but a good one to cross off the bucket list

Played Royal County Down 6/6/14 & loved every minute of it. Wonderfully maintained with a wide variety of holes. Minor complaints: Links course without many sea views & several blind tee shots, helped by having great caddies. This was the favorite course of several of our group & I would not hesitate to return.

Superb pro shop and facilities. Clubhouse and course every bit as good as billed. Caddy is a real benefit as many blind or tricky shots.

I have had the privilege of playing this world class course annually since 1979. It is a magnificent golf course, always in pristine condition, both fairways and greens. The front nine is one of the finest tests of golf you will find anywhere and the backdrop of the Mountains of Mournes from the 4th, 8th and 9th tees is a splendour... More

A world class course with some great golf holes that challenge the best golfers. The course has a variety of golf holes and when the wind is up it can be a real tough test! I would highly recommend this course but it is not for the weekend golfer! The only criticism was not getting a regular full caddie but... More

If you can find a better golf course in a more scenic location anywhere in the world then I don't think it exists. An unforgettable golfing experience, 4,8, and nine are as good as it gets. I have played most decent courses in the uk and ireland and this is number one.

Arguably the best course in the world. Hard argument between Pine Valley GC, August National and Cypress Point but at least you are able to play here. A challenging course which is quite playable, especially if you successfully avoid the rather challenging bunkers. A caddie for your first round is probably an excellent choice given the need for strategic shotmaking.... More
