As the number 4 course in the world and number 1 outside the US we had high expectations. They were greatly exceeded. We played the course twice over three days. Caddies were outstanding. Pace of play in the early morning was very good. Staff very welcoming. Definitnitelyy going back

Really enjoyed playing this very playable golf course. My only regret is that it doesn't really have a lot of views of the Irish Sea due to the dunes. Normally, there are spectacular views of the Mourne mountains but the fog covered them the day we played.

A lot of blind tee shots with some of the best vista views of the sea, mountains & gorse that you can imagine.

Just got back from a week long trip to Northern Ireland -highlighted by final 2 days at this wonderful resort and golf course. Well deserved ranking and possibly best front 9 I have ever played. Not a course for the faint of heart. A lot of blind shots and long carries, but a visual delight.a great caddie named Patrick for both... More

This golf course is a must. One of the best in the world and a scenic feast. Our trip to Ireland was culminated by playing the golf course. Would suggest the forward tees unless you are a very low handicapper. The caddies are extremely helpful and full of great stories.

Had the pleasure of playing at 'Newcastle' back in October 2010. After much deliberation as to what I rate to be the best course I have ever played...RCD came out on top (at this point I would like to point out that we played the course off the Championship Tees). Never before has a course had me; - Reaching for... More

You need to have skils to play this cource. If you can't hit the ball 200 yards, you will probably not enjoy it.

Kevan Whitson and his team are the top of their game. Course was amazing and so great to have an experience like that. My score was not that hot but will stay in my memory as a wonderful father and son moment with my Dad. Royal county Downs ROCKS!
