Second time I have played this beautiful course, Cannot add anything to what has been said before in countless articles. No buggies were allowed. Played it on a very benign day and finished with the same ball I started with! Only 1 ball lost between 4 of us. I try and this every time I visit N. Ireland. Expensive but... More

I recently played two rounds at RCD. Great course especially the first nine. However, the experience was marred by the Office staff particularly the Club Secretary who was arrogant, rude and incompetent.

Other courses may have better views (Old Head) but RCD is special. I wish we would have scheduled two rounds. Make sure you plan to have lunch at RCD. Original Rules of Golf on display outside the grill.

This course is ranked number 4 in the world, so you expect something special. The background scenery of the mourne mountains, the friendly staff in the pro shop are all great! But the course itself is just something to behold. I doubt I'll ever play a better course unless I'm ever given the privilege to play Augusta National. Simply stunning

The top ranked golf course in the world outside United States is Royal County Down. Golf Digest lists Royal County Down at #4 in its list of the top 100 courses in the world while Golf magazine has it at #6. If you believe Golf Digest that makes this course the top ranked links course in the world. If you... More

Beautiful setting, magnificent golf course - links golf at its best. There are a lot of blind tee shots so you either need a caddie or someone who knows where to go. If you get the opportunity play here.

Moderate drive from Dublin and Belfast. The coast line road has many really nice looking villages to visit, so visiting Royal County Down is not only about golf. This is challenging golf course, so make sure to bring enough golf balls, and yes, the weather can be pretty much anything imaginable, so prepare for that too.

Having the opportunity to play at such a highly ranked course was exciting and it didn't disappoint. Superb course and the caddy my husband booked was the best caddy we encountered on our 7 week golfing holiday. Afterwards we enjoyed a drink and snack overlooking the course. A memorable experience

First, my foursome was made to feel very welcome. I felt as if the club personnel really wanted us to be there and have a great experience--- there wasn't the slightest bit of snootiness. The course is fair but very difficult. It's hard for the 10-12 handicapper to avoid a couple big numbers, but that didn't detract from the enjoyment.... More

We were her for the Senior Amateur Golf, and it was still buzzing from the Irish Open. Kevin and the staff in the pro shop were so helpful, and the course... we were in heaven...would we play again.. Definitely yes
