So much here for all the family. The walk around the lake is accessible for all. Great for children with bicycles. Maze very challenging. Love the new play park which is long overdue. All the walks are well signposted. for a mor challenging walk climb slievenaslat. The views are worth it.

We visited the park in August and really enjoyed it. The place was well kept and the maze great craic for the kids and adults! We then took a walk around the lake and only wished we'd arrived earlier as we definitely would have stayed longer! Will come back again soon!!!

Visited here with hubby and kids. The maze is fab! Kids loved it. Play area beside maze is small, but kids enjoyed 10 minutes play there before walk round the lake and a picnic.

Great forest park with loads of walks . Mountain bike trail and pump track. Gorgeous castle and gardens. Beautiful walk around lake. Always have great fun in the Maze , have done it loads of times and I still take ages. Small cafe. Toilets. Caravan and camp site.

At least once a year we go to the maze, it's worth packing a good picnic and taking on the maze. Great fun racing around the place trying to find the solution....we had a laugh and the sun shone which was a bonus!! Happy teenagers :-)

Beautiful scenery in this park. Loved renting bikes and riding around the trails and gardens. Check out the Peace Maze.

The best view of the Mournes from slivenaslaat, take boots, coat and a camera. Cafe is not so good but a picnic is better anyway,

Came to castlewellan camping. Have not been for 5 years. Has not improved. Very roudy at night. The park is great and the lake walk good too. Beautiful surroundings. Tollymore forest camping is great so will return there from now on. Not be back at castlewellan camping.

Had a lovely walk around the lake with my two dogs and some family, We were looking forward to a coffee and some lunch before we headed home and were extremely disappointed. The cups were dirty, I asked for a salad for my wife. Got given a plate of lettuce with some tomatoes thrown on top and chicken which I... More

Castlewellan is a wonderful place to spend the day. We started with a picnic by the lake using one of the parks' tables. After lunch we walked the trail along by the lake enjoying the trees and foliage. We ended our visit with a walk through the garden--again enjoying the trees, flowers and foliage. The lake trail can be cycled... More
