Good views of these gnarly trees. I can see the age and the twisted trunks. Quite impressive. Worth a visit and there's some great pastures surrounding the area with farm life. Very scenic & idyllic. Quaint setting - understand why they film here. It's so unique.

Personally, I love natural beauty more than mad made...even though that can be impressive too. I live only 40 miles from this avenue and had the good fortune to cycle down it for the first time today. I loved the splendour, tranqulility and spookiness of this. There is something so elegant and sinister in how the trees from each side... More

Its hard to find, but if you just visited the Giants Causeway, it is not too far, and spending there just a few minutes, taking some amazing fotos, can make your day. Please stop at one of the ends of the nice strip so you don't block the view to others

Such a unique little piece of road. The trees so menacing but walking along it is so peaceful like they create a cocoon around you! A must visit for Game of Thrones Fans! They filmed some scenes here (I can't remember which). Bregagh Road is the road it is on. Just near a golf club.

Some of our favorite pictures from our 9 day trip. Note though that it is getting more popular and difficult to get an empty road picture. Go early or late. Light is better anyway. Photo tip: stand farther back and zoom in a with telephoto lens, it gives it a larger feel to the trees.

From the distance looks a little disappointing, but once the get under the trees it's very atmospheric & quite daunting. If you're travelling between Belfast & Bushmills worth a visit, but not worthy of a special trip - these are a row of trees after all! Not easy to find - sat nav required. Was a bit unnerved by all... More

On the road between Ballintoy and Stranocum this is a feast for the eyes, absolutely magical. The way the trees form a canopy over the road, beautiful on a sunny day. We videoed driving down it, just lovely. Another Game of Thrones location.

Its worth stopping and walking the picturesque kings road from Game of Thrones. I would recommend getting there early as when we were leaving cars were starting to pull up and park on the side of the road which was ruining my pictures :-)

When researching things to do in Northern Ireland, I chanced upon The Dark Hedges and knew, if I could swing it, that I needed to see it. It just looked cool. Shortly after, I learned of the link to the Game of Thrones, which has since led me into book 2 of the series - and I'm officially hooked. We... More
