I think St George's is just a must visit place if you are in Belfast for a weekend. For me, it shows just how talented local people are. There is an array of food and crafts and music. Kind of an assault to the senses, but in a good way!

We've been to St George's market on many occasions - it's a fantastic place to go for the family. Each day is slightly different but the selection of foods is always fabulous. There are lots of different foods to sample with the addition of live music on Saturdays and Sundays. Our 3 year old daughter asks to go and there... More

Plenty of things to see here, from someone selling bits from their house to people selling items for a small business. Lots of food to buy to cook later or to buy and eat there for lunch. Well worth a visit

Last place we visited on a Sunday morning before finishing a weekend Belfast City break. An architecturally striking building houses this traditional market, that has a huge selection of stalls selling an enormous variety of foods, crafts, arts and clothing. Amazing and interesting place to wander around and see and sample some of the great local produce. The market's lively... More

We went to Belfast for the first time last week to visit friends. On the Sunday morning, our last day, we visited the St. George's Market. We loved it inside and there was such variety between stalls and products. There were musicians playing instruments and singing, cafes where you could sit and listen and watch them or just have a... Me and my friends went there on a Saturday afternoon and we had a great time. Food is good and at a reasonable price. When we were there, there was a traditional music gig going on. Very good musicians

As local markets usually do, this Belfast St. George Market opens early, and closes early afternoon. So if you plan a visit don't wait until the end of the day. It is very lively with loads of vendors each with different displays. Beautiful colors, various languages, so much food fresh and ready to eat. If you prefer a nice late... More

I love visiting markets when I'm travelling. To hunt for a bargain and to taste some of the local produce. Great place to find wonderful things like local handicrafts and scarfs.
