WHAT A BRILLIANT SERVICE AT ROSE WEEK in July! It was a real pleasure to enjoy world-class customer care when I arrived at the Shopmobility Scooters stand at Dixon Park during Belfast's annual horticultural extravaganza, the International Rose Trials. As a traveller with mobility problems, I was delighted to be greeted by Mark, a man who knows how to put... More

I heard about Rose Week from a flyer I picked up at Belfast Castle last weekend. I'm only in the country for a few weeks, so I decided to check out the last day of Rose Week. Boy, was I pleasantly surprised. The park is gorgeous! A quiet reprieve from the city. I had no idea just a beautiful retreat... More

I visited the gardens during Belfast Rose Week. They are in a beautiful setting with a free shuttle bus service provided by Belfast City Council. The roses were magnificent and the array of colours marvellous. There was music and Irish dancing and it was a great day out.

Definitely worth going to see the park in Summer time. As the location of Belfast's International Rose Trials the park is filled to the brim with colour when the roses blossom. A children's play park and plenty of walks make the park a true joy on a sunny day. The stables coffee shop on the other hand is not to... More

I have to admit this park is well worth the visit during the summer because the flowers will be well bloomed. Also please keep an eye out for ROSE WEEK in July which is great for both parents and children

The park is lovely with mature trees, a Japanese style garden, the rose garden, a children's play park and a walled garden (mostly in lawn). Not very well signposted for walks but there are maps in the car parks. Unfortunately the coffee shop is not so good. Old fashioned decor and poor atmosphere. The coffee is poor to average (with... Lots of different walks to be had wirh different types of planting. Walled garden; rose garden; Japanese garden; forest as well as great in Summer with fields of long grass. Nice selection of plants and well known for its roses.

After an invigorating walk through picturesque park with lovely rose gardens, called into the Stables Coffee shop where the staff are always helpful and friendly and the food and beverages are reasonably priced. Will go back again and again.

One of our favourite places to visit in the local area. Such a lovely place to wander round and interesting things around every corner.
