We're the MAC, Belfast's new arts venue. We select, create and mix up music, theatre, dance and art - bringing you the very best of local and international talent, all under one roof. Our world-class building is situated in the heart of Belfast's bustling Cathedral Quarter, right behind Saint Anne's Cathedral. We are home to international art exhibitions, the very best in live theatre, experimental works and all manner of weird and wonderful goings-on. One visit and you'll discover that the MAC has something for all ages and interests. We hope you love our building as much as we do.

Recently went to a show in the Mac and musty I was very pleasantly surprised! I must confess I enjoy the Mac exhibitions and think the building and regeneration it has contributed to in the Cathedral Quarter is a great thing but I had never been to the actual theatre until this month. The theatre is intimate enough to feel... More

In my opinion the MAC (Metropolitan Arts Centre) is one of Belfast's best places. It's an arts centre housed in a beautiful, modern, spacious building right in the middle of Belfast's Cathedral Quarter. Home to art galleries, theatres, a cafe, bar and restaurant and covering genres such as visual art, music, theatre and dance. You really need to keep an... More

The MAC is a great space for exhibitions. Visited when they had a Warhol exhibition on. It was fantastic.

The Mac is an amazing space with something for all the family. There's a theatre where I saw a brilliant play last month (Lally The Scut by the wonderful Tinderbox Theatre if you're interested, worth the trip from London alone), galleries with interesting art, a lovely cafe bar with a wide selection of food and drinks, and a FAMILY ROOM!... Belfast is a small city with only a small cultural centers. In that context I might label it a three star. If you compare it to any major centers you will be disappointed. I found most of the staff that I interacted with lethargic and on cell phones not paying attention to anything around them. The exhibits were boring and... More

From the superb Cabaret, to the average God of Carnage, to the comedy of David Baddiel there's a great mix of shows on at the MAC. That's the theatre part, there's also the art gallery and the canteen at the MAC. It's great for a night out or just for a potter about and a fizzy pop during the day.
