Home of the Ulster Orchestra

The hall itself is very nice inside, and any concerts I have been to have not been overcrowded. The hall is also the home of the Ulster Orchestra.

We were actually walking past Ulster Hall when we both turned our heads to look inside and realised that it was a prestigious building, but we weren't sure what it was (we were heading somewhere else and just found ourselves looking through the front door, not having seen the proper exterior of the building). At this point one of the... More

Best venue for any concert in Belfast. From Royal Blood to Noah and the Whale, this venue attracts all kinds of genres. The place is never over packed, allowing you to enjoy your gig with plenty of room to breathe/dance/avoid having booze spilt down you. Gorgeous, intimate setting that allows any artist to blow the roof off; also stunning architecture... More

Went to oasis vs the stone roses in the Ulster hall last night and it was the worst organised gig I've ever been to. 2 small bars with 2 people serving in each couldn't cope with the demand. Eventually got to the bar to see they had no beer left in the fridge and were now serving warm bottles of... More

Attended a talk featuring writer David Sedaris last night, with tickets booked via Ticketmaster, delivered to our home, and subsequently lost by our toddler in a super fun game of hide-mommy-and-daddy's-tickets. The staff at Ulster Hall were superb, confirming our details and creating tickets on the spot for us. The venue itself was beautiful, easily accessible, and the seating in... More

Great architecture. Amazing piped organ the centre piece of the hall. Small venue and the one that kept Belfast rocking during the troubles. Original and best.

Led Zeppelin played here. Rory Gallagher lived here. Michael Schenker threw my tape machine at the wall in the kitchen after an interview. And now they do beer. Balcony, bouncy floors and Robert Plant. Great place for a gig.

This was my first visit and was lucky enough to experience the Ulster Orchestra playing The Star Wars Saga. It was literally breath taking. On the final piece there was a clash of cymbals that was superb ☺️ All that set in this beautifully ornate building with fantastically moulded plaster ceilings, historical pictures and painting covering every aspect of Belfast's... I was here for the Hear my Words concert, featuring the Belfast Philharmonic Choir, and the kids’ equivalent, the Belfast Philharmonic Chamber Choir. That was very good, but how is the venue? Handy location for train or bus travel, not far from Great Victoria Street Station. The exterior is very ornate, all chamfered quoins, Corinthian capitals, leafy ironwork and faces... More
