Established in 1895, the theatre boasts the majestic Victorian main auditorium designed by renowned architect Frank Matcham. This is a beautiful building in downtown Belfast with great shows at a reasonable price. If you cannot see a show, book a tour.

the building is full of history and is really quite beautiful. We have visited many times for shows and attended an open day where we got a tour backstage. prices are usually reasonable and staff are friendly.

Loads of character, comfortable, really well organised and if you can't enjoy a show here you won't anywhere. Five minutes from Europa bus station, several reasonably priced car parks, good restaurants and pubs.

This is my favourite theatre in Belfast and I have been many times. My wife acted on the stage here in an amateur dramatics performance before we were married so she has a connection with the place. There is a vibrant selection of shows throughout the year and something for everyone. If you are going do take your seat early... More

The Opera building makes a huge impression, I bet performances staged there are just as grand as the building itself. Oh, well a must next time.
