We had Phil as our tour guide....what a legend! He picked us up showed us the murals, showed us the other highlights of Belfast with efficiency, great knowledge of Belfast's history and with great enthusiasm and humour. The following day we had a fabulous private tour to The Giants Causeway via the Coastal route. We were able to see many... More

With both Catholic and Protestants in our small group, we can confirm our driver presented a balanced and informed view of the troubles. His historical knowledge was helpful and gave us new insights we had not realised before. Punctual and good value.

Having spent all of my life wanting to forget about the recent history of our country I can safely say I'm glad I took this tour as it presented an interesting perspective of both sides of the community and an insight into why the way we are! The driver was pleasant and informative! My Wife and I came away thinking... More

We recently took this tour (2 couples). The driver was punctual and picked us at the prearranged spot. We started off in the Shankill road area and travelled to the Falls Road. Being from Ireland I know enough to know that the Troubles is a complex story with no one side having a monopoly on the truth. I found the... More

Incredibly effective way to see, learn and get a feel for the raw history of the troubles in Belfast. On a 'shamrocker' tour a group of 35 stopped off in Belfast to experience the black cabs tour. We piled into several taxis and made relevant stops along the way. The mix of drivers with experience, personal history and knowledges led... More

You can hire a car and do this yourself but what you miss is the stories ,anecdotes and insight into what it was really like.A fascinating tour with our driver who had lived through the troubles but gave us an unbiased view of life.some great murals and the main peace wall are the highlights, but you get a real sense of... Mark took us on a "political" tour of the Falls Road and Shankhill areas and gave us a superb commentary on the "Troubles" which was both informative and sensitive. I would recommend him to anyone looking for an "insider's view" that describes sympatetially the perspectives and tragedies of both sides. Brett Cane, Winnipeg, Canada

We got on a train from Dublin all the way to Belfast to not only be stood up, but no one would answer the phone when we called to inquire why a driver never showed up. We had to call around after waiting around for 45 minutes to find a tour company that hadn't already left yet and could take... More

This was a great experience and Gary was tremendous with our stupid questions :) Very informative and was partial in discussing both sides of the battles. Would highly recommend taking one of the taxi tours with them.
