A great little cinema for enjoying the classics from old black and white movies to live streaming from the stages of some of the most revered theatres in the UK. Unique and charming.

I love to go to QFT for many reasons and my friend I and go to the cinema probably once a week. I love the fact that the other patrons are also committed cinema goers and therefore the whole experience is very enjoyable. It is also so convenient for me as I only live 10 minutes away and as I... I've been here numerous times, and this to me is probably the best cinema experience in Belfast. Showing a lot of world cinema, older classics, and independent movies. What I really like about this place the best is that the people that go to this cinema know exactly why they are here, every one of them. Not like in a... More

I've been going to QFT since I was a student, when the cinemas were converted lecture theatres. Over the years it has changed to its present incarnation, which has 2 purpose built cinemas with wonderfully comfortable seats and a coffee shop which also sells wine and beer. This is not a cinema that you'll go to for the latest blockbuster,... More

This is the place for masterpieces and old movies and arty movies and foreign movies and anything that you're unlikely to find at the Googolplex. I think I saw my first show here in 1985 or 86, and if I went through the list of my dozen favourite movies, I reckon I saw a quarter of them here.

My wife and I have started to go regularly to QFT. We aren't pseudo-intellectual film buffs - we just enjoy a good film and QFT never disappoints. A great place to relax and enjoy a wide range of films. Thankfully, a popcorn- and nacho-free zone.

I loved the variety of films, the restaurant / cafe and loved the comfy soft seats in the cinema! The QFT is off the beaten track, but if you love foreign and independent cinema, this place is a must :-)

We go quite regularly to Queens Film Theatre, as they show films not shown in the mainstream cinemas. Also, it is comfortable and has a nice foyer to meet friends in etc.

Brings way much better movies than the other cinemas in Belfast -movies which are actually hard to find. Very nice sound system and screen, comfortable seats, cheap tickets. What I personally love, is the bucket which has posters of films in the entrance of the cinema. You can take a poster and leave a small amount of money for a... More
