This place is one of the worst if not the worst club I have ever visited. The staff are undertrained and rude. The security are steroid fuelled scumbags that also need further training In dealing with clientele. Went here on a night out regrettably and won't return again. The drinks and admission are cheap but I guess you get what... More

It's the worst place I have ever been. The bouncers abuse and beat you up because they themselves are off their face especially the blonde skinhead who can only fight with backing and no CCTV as other people put in their review because they abuse you. The police are involved now and it will be taken so further as I... More

We visited belfast as onenightstop on our roadtrip accross ireland. Thomsons has bad rating at all turistic sites but i think the point is that its not right place for common people. If you do appreciate that music is not mainstream junk and people are not pinky-style pretenders of high society, its really good choice for you. Everybody is complaining... More

We approached the door and upon being told we where not welcome by door security who have no manners the way they spoke to us calling us orange b and up the ra because we said we where... More

We went recently with a few friends and can honestly say we may be had two/three drinks each. One of the young bouncers took a disliking to a friend and decided not to let them in everyone to their own. .fair enough. However his communication both verbal and non verbal suggested he wanted to take it much further than words.... More

First of all I would like to point out I may not be a regualar week in week out customer of this place I actually do recommend it but not anymore. The last time I went I was front of queue and everyyhing was cool. If the bouncers said it was too busy then that was fine. But I would... More

Thompson's has always served a noble purpose- Keep people drunk after all other clubs close. Belfast suffers from Puritanical drinking laws. Thompson's is the drunken knight in shining armor (with matching shining snap-back and Elizabeth Duke jewelry). Drinks are fairly priced for a club. Queues are usually short for everything. Opens late. You can dance and mess around. Most people... More

Thompsons will be celebrating its 18th birthday in August, some may think this deserves some credit, but it was always an after club bar, recently since the change to licensing laws etc, it is trying to change its image, it is laughable. VIP tables stuck in a corner nothing VIP about it, floors are disgusting, smell is awful and what... More
