Don't miss the botanical gardens when visiting Queen's University. The buildings themselves harken back to an earlier day. It is especially meaningful if you also visit Trinity University in Dublin.

A piece of architectural and cultural history to be captivated with and the Botanic Gardens next door. I can imagine this sight of this place making you want to achieve and want to strive for success. And a decent photo opportunity too, the expanse of the place, falls in with the other grand building of Belfast and surrounding area.

The title says it all really. This is stunning building from an architectural point of view. The grounds are well kept gardens with green grass and healthy manicured plants and bushes. You can see the pride in every aspect of such a grand edifice and it seems to shine through in the faces of the occupants.

I attended the University a few years back as part of my Masters Degree but I didn't fully appreciate the wonderful architecture of the building, well worth a visit.

Beautiful 500 year old University, commissioned by Elizabeth 1st. Great architecture and grounds. Apparently you can stay in the accommodation areas outside term times, worth checking into if you are a student or on a budget.

Queen's University is my alma mater (many years ago now) but I have a connection to the old place which will last a lifetime. The Lanyon Building is perhaps the iconic face of QUB, and well worth a visit through to the central quad where you can take a seat and enjoy the passing student traffic or the tranquillity and... I just passed by, I was not able to enter the building in order to see the interior but I was amazed again from the exterior and its design!
