We brought my Dad here for a quick pint before getting a pint to eat. A lovely pint of Guinness, an historic building, and a very friendly barman who was happy to indulge my Dad pretending to know about Irish whiskey! He even let him sniff one of the really expensive ones! Not sure about evenings, but for an afternoon/early... More

Had a meal and drinks here on a trip to Belfast. The pub has a lot of character being fairly old but needs a bit of loving care in some areas. Where we sat, the walls were all scraped and the foam was sticking out of the chairs. The food was good and the service was very friendly. It was... More

After a concert tonight in odessey myself and a friend came here as we always do however we couldn't gain entry to the establishment due to a trumpeted up doorman saying my friend had too much to drink even though she only had two drinks earlier. Never ever again shall myself or my friends ever come back even though we... More

A traditional pub with good ale and food. The chips are special and the trifle a treat, bug enough for two to share. Friendly, sociable staff are eager to make your trip enjoyable. I'd definitely go back!

Three friends before a concert in the Waterfront! Had booked the table the day before - on arrival, we were shown to our seats immediately. Fantastic food - starters were great and for main I had rump steak cooked EXACTLY the way I asked, (when asked by the waiter, I said "medium-well done - infact pink but not red!" -... More

Visited for a quick evening meal whilst working away, quite abrupt regarding length of time you can have the table which was understandable with the number of bookings they had. Bacon and Egg Salad starter was delicious but the Chicken main course let them down the chicken was slightly undercooked. Would revisit if in the area as the atmosphere was... More

Had never been here before but was attracted with an advert for steaks cooked on a hot stone - it reminded us of a similar concept in a restaurant in Bangor some time ago. Sooo glad we went here this evening - the girls enjoyed smoked chicken spring rolls, artisan breads etc and I had a scrummy chowder starter. 3... More

Three of us had dinner here last week and were very disappointed with it. Two of us ordered fish and chips. The fish was flavourless and I'm not sure that it was properly cooked - it was borderline. The chips were grease logged and tasted like they'd been fried in oil that hadn't been changed in weeks. And the mushy... More

We were part of a very large party that had booked a room for a meal. There were a large number of children in our party and although I cannot compliment the staff high enough they had their work cut out for them due to bad management and poor kitchen staff. It took over half hour to just place our... More
