One of the best pubs that I ever visited in my trips to Ireland and the UK. Friendly staff, terrific ambience packed with tons of decorative objects: a real treat to the your senses. I am tempted to say that it is in a league of its own... Beautiful place!

What a great spot to stop for a pint. The inside of this pub is unique, full of interesting decor, but we opted to sit outside on one of the benches in the cobblestone alleyway surrounded by beautiful hanging plants. Heads up, though - no food is served here.

What could be more Irish than drinking Harp at the historic Duke of York Pub while listening to an excellent band play Teenage Kicks? Nothing.

incredible array of mirrors and pictures - every space filled - a must visit for the ambience and to see what most pubs nowadays have lost forever but what is preserved in this one

Visited this pub on recommendation of the concierge at the Merchant Hotel, we had a brilliant time as it is a beautiful place, the staff look after you as if you were a regular and the Guinness is great. we are going back in August and will be back in the Duke of York

I love The Duke of York especially when the suns out and you can sit outside with a buzzing atmosphere. Staff are friendly and approachable. The decor is lovely and fresh. The cobble street definitely makes this place friendly and welcoming

What a great atmosphere in this pub with great old signs and advertising posters plus the drinks trays from years ago. Plus they keep a good pint of Guinness, they also have other well known drinks but you can't come to Ireland and not take od the black stuff.

Popped in here a couple of times once during the afternoon and later on at night both times very busy so you need to fight your way to the bar. They sell so many whiskeys that they struggle to find them sometimes! Nightime was that busy there was a queue to get in so got some whiskeys at the bar... More

Lovely building and location with loads of pictures and mirrors on the walls. In addition to a huge range of whiskies they have a good selection of beers including (when I was there) Blue Moon wheat beer correctly served with orange. The great live music absolutely made it for me: it reminded me of Dublin pubs which can't be a... More
