Located in a compact and "go to" part of the City. Very traditional bar with tonnes of character that seems to welcome locals and visitors alike. Loads and loads of history and this place is guaranteed to look like this in 20 years. Serves a very canny Guinness!

Found this pub walking down the cobble streets & so glad we did as it was my favourite. Different from all the others; very traditional, lots to see & great atmosphere!

Not to be missed! If you are in Belfast then you have to visit here. Hospitality fab staff welcoming and atmosphere the kind long forgotten in today's scene. Steeped with history and every space on walls, ceilings stuffed with history of the trade

Small pub which is always busy! I always enjoy having a beer or two here and would recommend anyone who is visiting Belfast, call in and just sit and look around the pub.

Fantastic real Irish ambience. Traditional Irish decor, music and great service! Really enjoyed our night here and would definitely go back.

Went there for a pre-dinner drink. Normal pub's drink. So what is making the difference there is clearly the place itself: almost a museum! Nice.

The Duke of York is a must for anyone looking to enjoy the bar scene in Belfast. Down a little alleyway in the Buzzing Cathedral Quarter, it has a unique location and ambiance with most of its clientele spilling into the cobbled alley and sitting or standing amongst the red painted benches, antique signs and hanging baskets. It is a... More

Went here on Friday evening the 10th of October for a pint of Guinness and it was excellent. Even so much that I came back the same evening for another pint with my wife.

My colleague and i stopped in for a pint of the black stuff whilst away in Belfast on business...the atmosphere was great, the bar staff friendly....the Guinness was great! The little cobbled street with benches was nice to sit outside a carry out some people watching and soak up some of the Belfast atmosphere. Think i have just found my... More
