My son and I had the misfortune to book this tour in July. The coach was something out of a bad carry on film, filthy, torn seats and vandalised windows. We were supposed to visit Carrick Fergus Castle, Dunluce Castle, and the Bushmills Distillery, however we only stopped for about an average of 15 minutes at each and in fact... More

We did the One Day Tour which covered a visit to Carrickfergus Castle, some brief stops at towns, the Rope Bridge, and the Bushmills Distillery along the way to the tour highlight - The Giant's Causeway. The tour was a great way to get a taste of the Belfast countryside and to get the opportunity to spend plenty of time... More

I would like say a Big thank you to Allen's tours. This review has been 6 years in the writing, as it has been that long since I was there.I did the Giants Causeway tour and would recommend it to anyone, the tour guide for the day(an ex serviceman if I remember) had a very solid knowledge of the coast... All over the trip was great. Ian our driver had a lot of knowledge of drive up to and thje Causeway itself. He was brilliant. Just a few moans. We were told to be there at 9.20am to set off at 9.30am we did not depart to just after 10.00am. In the shop window it states 10.00am start. The bus... More

Pros - Pick-up at our hostel by minivan, very conveniënt. - Decent, clean and comfortable coach. - Interesting and knowledgeable guide. - Enough time to walk/ look around at various sites and take pictures. Cons - The visit to the Bushmills Distillery is an absolute joke! We were dropped off at the giftshop and that was the end of it.... More

We took the day tour whilst on our annual holiday, to encompass things we wanted too see in the one day and gain local knowledgable information. We were picked up from our accommodation at specified time by a charming and cheerful Irish gent. Ian provided a professional commentary, his knowledge of the area we toured was remarkable, mixed with his... More

Glad to hear you had a great day weather permitting (something that is a big factor in this country) and hope you can return some day when it is slightly less windy. Thanks gain for using Allens Tours and hope you had a safe journey home. More

They provide the cheapest one-day-tour from Belfast to Giant's Causeway. For an adult just £16!! Bus is a little old. Maybe that's why? You can book via online by yourself. Tour starts 9:30 then back to Belfast city centre around 19:00. Mr. guide/driver was very kind and witty, good operation. However I think it is depend on the WEATHER, unfortunately.... More

We took a 9 hr. tour of The Giant's Causeway, Carrefurgus Castle, Carrick a reed Rope Bridge and the Bushmill's Distillery. We loved it overall! The Causeway is unbelievable! The tour guide talked nonstop, almost too much! But he knows every inch of the region and wanted to share every bit of history and interesting facts with us. There were... More

We booked our tour with Allen's Tours in July. The bus looked like it had been in service for a very very long time. From the minute this bus pulled from the company's building there was a high pitched noise that sounded very much like a dentist's drill. I didn't know if I was going to be able to handle... More

It is obvious from your review that you know nothing about buses as you were travelling on a Vanhool bus with seats which have about 12" of padding in the seats widely known to be the Rolls Royce of Buses where as the newer vehicles you mention have about 3" of seat cushioning as they are cutting down on weight... Myself and partner did the Giants Causeway tour and were not disappointed. Our first driver was a little disorganised, but we soon got moving. He was very entertaining and informative. We made our way to the Carrickfergus Castle, which was a nice quick photo opportunity. We then swapped drivers and had had a driver named Mark. We had a lovely... More
