You may be able to get better tours, more expensive ones with a nicer coach, but if you just want to enjoy the beautiful scenery and see the sites, its a great tour. I never realised how lovely it was. Our driver Marty was great. He gave us a very good description and loads of info. We stopped a few... More

Got this on special offer via Groupon. For the sheer distance covered and the number of visits fitted in I certainly got my money's worth, though maybe it would have been better if they hadn't been so ambitious to cover so many things and allowed a bit more time at each one - that's just my opinion. The driver/guide did... More

I took a day trip with Allen Tours recently and to be honest it will be the last time. We arrived at Carrick Castle and were told we had 20 mins. We arrived back on time and while waiting to go we noticed most of the bus passengers got off and headed down into Carrick. We were told nothing and... More

We booked the Causeway Coast Tour through Ulster Tours (unaware that this was a third party booking). We were told to wait outside Jury's Inn, Great Victoria St at 9.30am as the bus normally arrives at 9.45am. A rep was waiting outside the hotel when we arrived. He informed us that we really didn't need to arrive until 10am as... More

Re: Day Trip to Giant's Causeway. I worked as a Tour Manager for a travel company doing worldwide escorted coach tours for 5 years and if I ever did what happened on this tour I would have been sacked! I should have acted on the warning signs and known this company would not be very good because I had trouble... More

The Causeway Coast tour got off to a bad start as we were told at booking office to be at Jury's Hotel Belfast for 9.15 but due to bus making pick-ups on route to collect us it was nearer 10.30 when we actually got on the road. The driver was friendly and informative from the moment we departed, pointing out... More

Loved this tour!! Our driver (Marty?) was wonderful, very friendly and knowledgeable and kept everything on schedule and organised. He told us all about the places we were visiting as well as the history and landmarks of the towns we drove through. He also dropped everyone off at their individual stops and hostels on the way home - very thoughtful... More

I had booked the trip to the giants causeway for me and my boyfriend. After looking at tripadvisor reviews I was in two minds - however I am fully aware you have to take trip advisor reviews with a pinch of salt as people can be over expectant etc. I have been on many budget tours and loved them -... Compared to a Paddywagon tour, which I went on the day before the Allen Giant's Causeway tour, Allen's Tours feels quite unorganized. The bus was fairly grimy (especially some of the windows) and the speaker system was so bad it made understanding the driver impossible. First complaint: it's very difficult to figure out the pickup location(s) for the tour. The... More

The tour was good, but the bus didn't leave until 10;15! We didn't get to see everything that was promised and we were back two hours late! After the first stop on the way to the giants causeway the bus crashed into another car which held us back! Didn't really enjoy the trip at all!
