Belfast black taxi tours: new game of thrones/causeway full day tours. As the official belfast attractions we have been offering our award winning tours for over 15 years. Even though our beautiful city is now almost unrecognisable from the bomb ravaged city of over 35 years ago, we feel it is important to help everyone understand what life in belfast was like during the dark years of ‘the troubles.’ By taking you on a tour of the now world famous hotspots, such as the republican(ira) murals of the falls road and the protestant(u.f.f &u.v.f) murals of the shankill road and by the use of important evidence such as newspapers, photos, videos and even plastic bullets we hope to paint a vivid picture of what life was like for the everyday belfast resident. You will travel in style through the back streets of our city in an old vintage london black taxi cab as our guides, who all lived through the troubles, help you understand over 800 years of british / irish political history. We offer full day giants causeway & game of thrones from your cruise ship/hotels etc.

We had a few hours to spend in Belfast before catching our flight home, and saw these taxi tours were rated No 1 tourist attraction, so we rang to book a general landmark tour. Only a political one was free, so we took that.... & I'm so glad we did. Our driver/guide Dermot was fabulous; hugely knowledgeable, committed but balanced,... More

We got a potted political history (enthousiastically delivered by john) whist touring the falls and shankil road areas which was a great way to get a handle on it. The youngest among us (who would have had no memory of the 'troubles') also found it just as interesting.

As a regular visitor to Belfast, I am drawn in by the warmth and friendliness of the local people time and time again. I have been lucky enough to have done this tour twice now, the first with family members and the second time this weekend with my partner and friends. What I first found fantastic was that Gerard, who... More

A first class and rivetting trip around the conflict murals in both the republican and loyalist communities of Belfast City. No visitor to Belfast should pass up the chance to experience this first hand account of the Troubles from drivers who were at the forefront on both sides of a 30 year guerilla war. Learn what the murals mean and... More

The black cab tour was one of the highlights of my visit to Belfast. Our guide, Joel, presented information relating to the troubles in a well-balanced way that provided an insight into the different views and experiences of the conflict. His detailed knowledge provided an interesting and informative tour taking in the murals, memorials and peace wall. He was more... More

It was a spur of the moment trip up to Belfast for the weekend, and the weather looked like it was going to be terrible, but this tour sounded very interesting. I love Game of Thrones, great scenery, history, and whiskey , so it covered everything. Some times bad weather provides things that you wouldn't normally see. That was the... More

Decided last minute to book a private tour, instead of a group coach tour. Best decision we could have made. Gerard was thoroughly entertaining and enlightening. He tailored the whole tour to what we wanted to see and delivered at every turn. Even in the pouring rain. I would highly recommend Gerard and any of his tours
