It's been truly amazing to watch the restoration project taking place here. A team of volunteers have worked wonders in clearing rhododendrons, reinstating paths and clearing overgrown vegetation etc. contractors have been engaged to undertake the larger pieces of work such as desalting the lake, installing an Archimedes Screw and repairing the waterfalls. Now you can see how it may... More

My grandson used the café as a base for his 6th birthday what a great idea this was. Him and all his pals enjoyed a brilliant café buffet and the cake supplied by the café. the parents enjoyed the coffee on offer too. we all of course enjoyed this breath-taking Woodland. if you haven't been ask yourself why?

A stone throw away from my house lies this hidden gem. A stunning area with a picturesque man made waterfall. Beautiful and breathtaking. A well deserved 5/5.

We visited here with friends who are volunteers helping to reinstate the woods to their former glory. It is some time since we last visited and we were surprised to see that there is now a coffee shop and toilet block and a large car park. There is a small charge for parking. We didn't time our walk to catch the... More

The Penllergare Valley Woods are beautiful, I went there with my family and our Cocker Spaniel who absolutely loved it. Unfortunately there is a lot of work being done so the waterfalls were not quite like the pictures, but this didn't ruin the visit to the woods. Parking was reasonably priced as was the coffee shop. We struggled to find... More

A beautiful place to wonder with or without yr dog. There Are rivers and streams with pretty bridges for crossing and plenty of different flowers and trees depending on when you visit. the woods are being renovated back to how it used to be many years ago with viewing platforms, walking areas and lakes.

This beautiful woodland has long been one of my favourite walks with the dog! It's such a lovely place to unwind and feels quite magical in places!!! It's lovely here in all seasons but In the spring it's great seeing the deep carpets of bluebells, followed by the flowering of the many rhododendrons. It's lovely strolling past ancient trees, walking... More
