Went to Rhossilli, Three Cliffs,Mumbles and Swansea. Loved every minute and can't wait to go back there. No wonder it's a designated area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Went on the cliff walks and the heights were dizzying but breathtaking. Something for everyone here but especially for the beaches. Stunning

If you like walking in beautiful countryside or along coastal paths then you can't go wrong with a visit to the Gower penninsular. When the weather is fine the beaches are among the best both in the UK and abroad - vast sweeping sandy shores which attract serious surfers and families alike. Caravan parks and holiday cottages are usually located... More

Hadn't realised how beautiful this part of Wales is. The weather is exceptional and wonder whether we would be enjoying ourselves if it was wet and windy? Walking the coastal path with return routes in land back to our digs. Eating breakfast and supper outside in the garden and retiring to bed direct from garden.

The gower peninsula is undoubtedly a scenic place, particularly when you consider that's it's also next to Swansea, which is a horrific place! But having just spent time in Dorset and Devon,it's just not a patch of them. Less choice of good eateries, weather a bit unpredictable, some of the towns a wee bit run Down. Still worth a visit if you are nearby... More

Or if you like watersports, walking, good eating, the proximity to Swansea, and it's shops/cultural attractions, even pubs, bars and nightlife (these last do NOT appeal to me) then visit Gower. There are beaches all round the peninsula and the tourist office in Mumbles provided a good guide to them all, also a tide timetable. There are castles to visit at Oxwich,... More

It was a great place to go to get away from the stress of life Magnificent views and walks the only downside we found was the eateries were a bit shabby.
