You can actually spend days on this fantastic peninsula: visit Britain's top beach at Rhossili, visit the castle at Oxwich, take a walk from Langland to the Mumbles, just to name a few of the main attractions.

We love the largely unspoilt and undeveloped Gower. There are amazing walks along the coastal paths and the Gower Way which takes you through the middle on the peninsula. There are some lovely pubs and some fine dining to had too. Lovely sandy beaches and the sea is clean. If you want to get away from it all, this is... More

Rhossili Bay is spectacular. The 'Worms Head Hotel' was very nice for a drink after our walk. We enjoyed the drive to and from Rhossili but didn't really stop off anywhere else.

Having not visited the Gower since 1976 it was a delight to see it had not changed as much as many other British coastal retreats have. We were well out of the main summer season so the pressure on car parks and eating places was a lot less. Rhosslli was probably the best place to visit for quality of beach... More

Great caves, great for climbers, walkers, geologists, archaeologists. Weather gets very cold autumn around the end of the peninsula and periodically warm in summer. Better weather elsewhere but is very historic.

We spent a day driving round and stopping off at all the amazing places on the Gower, the beaches are fantastic sweeping sandy bays with plenty of room for everyone. Lots of opportunity for walking as well as placed to eat and drink.

You have to have a car for this but renting one would be absolutely worth it. The views along the coast, the little villages, Rossili Bay, Mumbles, the castles etc. Just make sure you'll stay a few days in Mumbles by the way, it's not only gorgeous, the day trips will allow you to have a proper visit.

Yes when the sun rises and sets the light effects in the Bays in the Gower are fantastic. We walked Oxwich Bay, Rossili Bay & Worms Head ( with drinks in the Hotel after with superb views over the Bay), Port Eynon Bay & Village, Broughton Bay, and Horton Bay. All worthwhile and lovely views and good exercise. Regards Gary... More
