Everything is superb great open spaces, miles and miles of open countryside and fantastic beaches around every corner. Some great little pubs, mostly secret, best to try a few and you will not be disappointed . Wow !!!

Really enjoyed exploring the Gower peninsular. What a beautiful place with some stunning beaches and cliff top walks.

Spent 4 days walking and visiting various beaches all delightful - some small beaches, some large with water sports. Lots of lovely scenery - different round every corner. Beautiful Rhossli beach and worms head well worth the visit to see ship wreck.

This is a great place for adults and children alike. The beachesare outstanding. There is a bus service from Swansea butcheck before travel, as I'm not sure it operates all week all year round.

You can walk on the bay in a special hiker's trail that takes you on a coastal 1 hour or so stroll. Splashing waves onto dark cliffs, sunsets, bushes with yellow bright flowers and the seagulls. A coastline made for tourists but in a nature-respecting way.

This 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty' is just that and its status has meant its landscapes are as wonderful as when I grew up in Swansea and explored the peninsular in the 1960s. The country lanes are narrow so you have to take care both walking and driving. There are numerous bays and coves but my personal favouite are Rhossili... More

Beautiful coastline, completely unspoilt. Great for surfing, rockpooling and family beach combing. Love that there are no areas spoilt by tourism

Go. Go now. It's just four hours by car from London. Friendly people. Lovely views. Great beaches. And some tasty food. Not as crowded or as expensive as Cornwall. I went to the Gower years ago as a schoolkid and I'm kicking myself I hadn't been back since. I won't make that mistake again. Definitely back camping next year.
