Cwmdonkin Park, associated with Dylan Thomas, as he lived nearby, has been revamped. Dylan spent time in the park, where he probably had ideas for his writings. There is a good children's playground in the park as well as tennis courts and a bowling green. In the summer months there is a café.

One of several parks in Swansea - by no means the largest but qa pleasant open space that features in several of Dylan Thomas's stories.

The Swansea Bach Choir have had a stall in CwmDonkin Park last summer - as part of the Green Fuse festival - the organisation was superb. The choir practices at the top of CwmDonkin around every 3rd Saturday in Oakleigh House School. The next concert the Choir are doing is quite local in St Paul's Church, Sketty at 7:30pm on... More

Lots of room to run around. Good. cafe serving basic food and hot chocolate. Swings and slides. My only dislike is that in some areas dogs are off lead. I love dogs but outdoor they should be on leads.

This is a great little park in the middle of the city, a lovely respite. Lots of families out playing with kiddies, and folks out with doggies, too. Park is quite clean and nice, with a little snack shack down by the tennis courts. Be aware that the road alongside, where we parked, is quite steep, so be careful if... More

I often stop by the park when visiting family in the area. Its great for a nice walk with a dog or by yourself Areas that are hidden away at the back are quite and around the children's play noisier. Meaning it is good for families.

This park has been upgraded and is well worth a visit. It has plenty of attractions for children as it has a play area and tennis courts. It is also very scenic and has some great walks. It is very clean and tidy and has good landscaping. It is also very near to the Uplands shopping centre if you need... More

My only grumble was that some dog owners let their pets off the lead. Other than that there is plenty of space for the children to run around and a park area. My grandson loves the zip wire.

I have fallen in love with this park, which is strange as I hardly bothered going there as a child. I take my daughter there every weekend. We spend time in the play area and then walking around the steep hills looking at the squirrels in the trees and flowers. We finish off with a coffee and an ice cream... More

Lots of money spent on it in recent years and all for the good. Remember it as it was in Dylan's day now the whole family can go there and get what they want out of the experience. Children's play area, cafe, iconic Dylan sites and quiet areas for reflection.
