Visited the House today and enjoyed going around it. Weather superb. Able to eat outside in the sun. Gardens and river side walk added to the enjoyment. Will be going again.

Nice gardens and parkland and big house. The house is not full of valuable artefacts but the guides were very informative and it was worth a look around. It was very good at demonstrating the below stairs life in a grand old house. Nice garden to walk around with some nice planting and well maintained. Nice vegetable garden too.

The house, and access to it, has improved considerably since it was taken over by the National Trust. A wander round the buildings and grounds is very interesting, and I look forward to an audio guide being produced. We had a very pleasant, if somewhat NT standard, cream tea in the cafe (you don't have to buy access to the... More

Tredegar house is well worth a visit. The gardens are very large with lots of things to see and do, you get taken back in history and get a real feel feel for the place when it was a house for the well to do. Inside the house you see all of the rooms which are beautiful, a real history... More

Took my mum at the weekend, i had previously visited the free gardens, but we did the house and gardens this time. It got taken over by the national trust 3 years ago, and they are restoring the house, room by room, which is really interesting to to see how they are doing it. The staff are really knowledgeable and... More

Been here several times in the last few years and it never fails to please. Several functions throughout the year and each ran very professionally, just visited the Folk dancing and there was something for everyone. Great day out keep up the great work.

The house has had an interesting history through the "Morgan" family. It gives a good insight into the lives of those who had money, how it was obtained and the people who worked for them.

Tredegar House and Dyffryn Gardens offers something for every generation. Be you an adult, a child or just a big kid you will love the magical gardens with their sprawling and dappled woodlands of native and exotic trees as much as the house that is currently being rescued from years of neglect and theft by corrupt property developers. We loved... More
