Beautiful gardens, lovely café, tennis and basketball courts, bowling green. I walk through the park at least once a week. The gardens are well maintained and the park is safe and clean.

I grew up in Newport and my grandparents used to live near Belle Vue, so I have fond memories of happy times spent there. Often pay a visit when passing through Newport. A really lovely place, quite unusual as not a flat park. Lots of squirrels as so many trees. The views are not as clear as they used to... More

I haven't been in a while(moved away). But when I went it was a wonderful walk. There are a few hills but it is worth it. There are views over the industrial areas of the city and in the spring it is alive with birdsong. A wonderful place for a quiet walk.

Beautiful trees / bushes and flowers troughout the entire park. If there is one downside, it is on a very steep slope, so probably not good for someone with bad legs or heart, but there are plenty of places to sit and look at the scenery.

It's a very hilly park, we didn't manage to find a patch of grass flat enough to have a game of football but we could have missed somewhere. There is a little play park, an area appropriate for little ones then an area for slightly older children.

A very pretty park with some lovely old trees. the building is lovely and has been sympathetically restored. The cafe is good and worth a visit for tea and cakes. An oasis in the city.

We visited here on a spring afternoon and we were pleasantly suprised to find a car park. Quite a few spaces but I imagine it to get very busy on warmer days, but there is lots of on-street parking available outside the main entrance. There is an old building, maybe a former house? Which is quite impressive and there is... More
