This park is centred around a huge lake. Great walks in amongst trees and a lovely rose garden. The thing that stood out for me was all the wild life freely roaming. I have never seen so many geese in my life! Be careful though because some were honking at people and charging at them in an aggressive way, this... More

I have going to this park for over 50 years it is a lovely place, you can walk for miles and there is a nice play area for the kids, the lake itself has the old fashioned rowing boats wonderful on a summers day, good toilets and cafe.

I do love Roath Park Lake but it does seem to me that the prices of the ice cream suppliers just goes up every year to a new extortionate price

This is a nice park with a lake which is generally pretty quiet. It's a little way from the centre of town. It's worth a visit.

Ive visited Roath park a number of times. Its great. There's plenty to do and space and lots of sections to keep little ones stimulated. The lake is great with ducks, geese and swans to see, pedelos and rowing boats at an affordable cost. The playground is second to none, lots of space and equipment. The flower beds throughout are... Terrible café in a wonderful park! I planned to take my sister for dinner, as we were having a family photo taken at 6pm in Roath park. The café was said to be open until 6pm and serving hot food. However, when we arrived at 4.45pm, we were told that the cooking equipment/fryers were turned off and that we couldn't... More

This is a delightful park with a beautiful lake, well-attended gardens, and numerous birds walking around to join the human strollers. There is a boathouse, conservatory, and coffee shop. A lighthouse commentates Cpt Robert Scott, who perished during a trip to Antarctica. Visitors to the park include people from a nearby home for the elderly, dogwalkers, young lovers, and seekers... Great to take a run or cycle. Also good for kids because there is a play park and lots of birds to see and feed. You can also rent a paddle boat and see the lake close up!

A stunning lake surrounded by trees, flowers and wildlife. An evening's walk is recommended around the park watching the ducks and swans settle down to sleep on the islands.
