I love going down to the quay after work on a Friday, mainly to complete a mini bar crawl. Everyone is so happy there, lots of places to go and eat. Excellent during the summer when you can sit outside.

good parking, a really nice outdoor area set on the quayside. The water bus & small boats adding to the atmosphere. Lots of restaurants and places to stop for a drink, coffee, ice cream. Statues and even a beach! Cardiff has it all and Mermaid Quay is the Icing on the cake.

Has a good vibe! was busy to begin with until about 10pm and then got a bit quieter. Lots of restaurants to choose from and lovely setting.

We walk around this area, and found it very calming, with some really great photo opportunity's, plenty of shops and restaurants, to just sit down and soak up the sun. I would recommend a visit.

The food was fabulous and the setting was just beautiful, and the staff were friendly and attentive. We would highliy recommend them. The quay has so many gorgeous restaurants sadly we... More

I don’t quite get the attraction - except for those who live in the nearby apartment blocks - because the city centre has a better choice of places to... More

They have some good events at Mermaid Quay but the food and drink show. Free entry! And plenty to eat drink and purchase.

I visit Cardiff for one day trip from London. So not a lot of places I can visit. I choose this place for lunch. Easy to reach by bus from Cardiff Castle or City Center. It has a good view to the sea and a cape. Many restaurants here with the sea view. Good environment also. Good place for lunch... More
