A great alternative to the City Centre. If you have a warm evening it's lovely to stroll around and people,watch. Lots of events so of some research beforehand to get the best.
If you're a Torchwood / Doctor Who fan, you won't want to miss Mermaid Quay / the Cardiff Bay area. And even if you're not, there are loads of lovely restaurants and coffee shops in the area, plenty to see and experience.
Vibrant area redeveloped in the past few years. Adds a nice area to Cardiff. Full of young people and families enjoying their time. Easy walk from Cardiff central but would not do it after dark or alone. Lots of bars and restaurants.
plenty of choice for eating and drinking, my favorites are global buffet for the choice and salt bar for amazing cocktails! some nice little shops and things to see. I wouldnt come here for a wild night out but it is great for couples and if you want an escape from the madness of the city centre

great place to visit, something for all the family, theatre, dr who, the welsh assemby, must do the barrage, and an abundance of restaurants, plus, space for children to enjoy in a traffic free enviroment, the bay has alway's something going on to enjoy.
