With plenty of restaurants, Cafe's and Bars to chose from, you're not short of food and drink in Cardiff bay, With stunning views and lovely walks, morning day or night Cardiff Bay is a brilliant place to visit. There is often an attraction going on outside the Millenium centre so it's always worth a visit.

Have visited Cardiff quite a few times but never came here before. We walked all the way round from Cardiff Bay. It was a nice walk but a windy day so decided to have a coffee at Costa, sat outside and people watched, my favourite. We then walked back to the car, drove outside of Cardiff for a bit but... More

There are lots of nice eateries to choose from, so we had checked trip advisor for recommendations. Many of the restaurants and cafes have outdoor seating and we were lucky that we had nice weather so were able to take advantage of this. The place has a nice atmosphere and we wandered around taking it all in. Lots of families... More

Lovely walk and sights on a pleasant day. Lots for children to do in the summer as well because they have set up a play park in the centre of it all. We were lucky enough to hear a steelpan as well because we are visiting from Trinidad and Tobago. There are lots of restaurants to choose from so everyone... More

I was hoping to walk along the coast but there was nothing there but restaurants. A festival was setting up for the following week but other than that there was nothing for kids to do. Spent less than 2 hours walking around.

We are sorry to hear that you found your trip to Mermaid Quay in Cardiff Bay "quite boring". It's just a nice dining place with the view of the Cardiff Bay... Nothing special culturally or historically.

As you say Mermaid Quay is a nice place to dine - its 30+ waterfront restaurants, cafes and bars are very popular with Cardiff residents and visitors. It sits at the heart of Cardiff Bay - the Tiger Bay of old whose fascinating history has helped to shape the culture and economy of Wales' capital city - and it is... More

We were staying in units beside the quay and found it an extremely useful place for meals and snacks. The range of eating spots suits all ages and incomes, from flash expensive restaurants to American diners serving great kids' meals.
