Have lived in Cardiff for 5 years and always wanted to look in side this interesting looking church. Visited today as there was an open day allowing access to the tower (brilliant 360 views looking over the city) and the best part of all was being allowed to ring the church bells! All free but donations were welcomed. Friendly and... More

I love older churches and this one did not disappoint. A volunteer was very helpful in explaining the history of the church. The site has been a place of Christian worship for 800 years, but previous churches had been destroyed. This church can currently trace it's architecture back to the 1400's.

Lovely church in the center of Cardiff. Has a toilet and a lovely cafe. There is a lift to the cafe as well. Its much cheaper and nicer to have coffee, cake or a sandwich here!!!

Actually, I'm afraid there is no lift to the Café. But the staff will gladly bring drinks and food down for those who cannot manage the stairs. And in good weather, we have tables and chairs outside. But so glad you enjoyed your visit! More

Really cute, pretty church. But the best thing is to the right of the main alter, where there's these wooden things with knights on top of them, the best thing to see in the church is there. (Look closely at the knights. There's something wrong with one of them).

The church is fantastic but do yourself a favour. There are loads of named coffee shops in Cardiff that will charge a fortune, but don't go there. Have a coffee in the church garden. Why? 3 good reasons. 1. It very tasty and al fresco is the best coffee place in Cardiff. 2. All funds from the gorgeous, vast array... More

A beautiful church inside, I have lived in the city all my life and this is the first time I have ever been inside. You would never know you were the city centre once you walked in. Well worth a visit.

The church is the centrepiece of St Johns Square and has a very largw tower. in summertime, yopu can access the tower and view Cardiff from the top. In addition the church has a teea room open most weekdays.

Do not just pass it by go in and enjoy the peace and quiet. There are often concerts there. You can also get a cup of tea.

The church is said to be the oldest building in central cardiff. Bits of the castle are older but that's a very small proportion of the building. It is an oasis of calm in the busy city centre. It is well known for the skill of their bell ringers who practice on Thursday nights and ring before the Sunday service.... More

We loved the cared for prayerful space, open all day and the option of an on site cafe open from 9.30am. We sadly missed the organ recital on the Willis Organ but we did catch the organ builders tuning and preparing the instrument for the next day. The heritage fund has supported restoration and the sound is magnificent.
