This is a very special place. The peace in the building is palpable. I loved the beautiful ceilings and the opportunity to pray in the many different chapels. The choir were rehearsing whilst we were looking around. They sounded beautiful and I was sad not to be able to stay for Evensong. Unlike many larger cathedrals, this really feels like... More

My one regret is that I never got to go down and go inside My friend has difficulty in walking and it was quiet steep to go down and get back, but am looking forward to a return trip, and go inside the Cathedral. From the outside it looked really... More

While visiting Cardiff we visited this cathedral which is very large but not really that elaborate, especially by European standards.

I liked that it said what age each pillar came from (15th century) and you were allowed to watch the services and listen to the priest. The worker who sold bibles was very friendly too.

As noted elsewhere, several of the reviews are not related to the cathedral in Cardiff, but a different church altogether. TA have been advised. As for St David's in Cardiff: it's a small cathedral, but very pleasant and as it's right in the centre of town (just off Queen St) why not call in?
