While visiting Cardiff we visited this cathedral which is very large but not really that elaborate, especially by European standards.

This imposing cathedral dominates the small city. The info boards about the grounds explain that there has been a place of worship here for many centuries. From the serenity you feel in the grounds you can certainly see it as a place for spiritual pilgrimage. The cathedral itself is in good repair, although you can see and feel how it... More

The St David's Cathedral in the tiny city of St David's is a gem. It's accessible and the guides are very helpful. Although on two levels it's possible for those in wheelchairs to see the whole building by accessing the upper part by going outside and using another door. Just ask a guide. They will happily point you in the... More

I liked that it said what age each pillar came from (15th century) and you were allowed to watch the services and listen to the priest. The worker who sold bibles was very friendly too.

As noted elsewhere, several of the reviews are not related to the cathedral in Cardiff, but a different church altogether. TA have been advised. As for St David's in Cardiff: it's a small cathedral, but very pleasant and as it's right in the centre of town (just off Queen St) why not call in?

Don't miss this beautiful place. The inside of the cathedral is magnificent and the outside grounds are spectacular . Lots of walking and stairs to get there. But worth the effort.

As another reviewer says, there's too much here that is NOT St David's in Cardiff - would be nice to see Trip Advisor sort it out. Have reported a couple of photos (main one of Landaff, second one of St David's in St David's, Pembrokeshire), so hopefully these will be removed. Many of the reviews are of St David's Pembrokeshire... More

This is a Catholic cathedral -quite small more like a parish church. It is smaller than the nearby St Johns parish church. Nevertheless I enjoyed the atmosphere of calm & serenity and it is worth a brief visit. It is a lot more sparse in its decoration than many cathedrals and is a contrast from Llandaff cathedral (which is the... More
