A bit small and expensive, but the setting is very pretty and the staff helpful. It is steep and a little difficult if you are disabled.Worth a visit.

So small as to only warrant a short visit. Not easily reached except by car. No facilities but interesting enough for a Castle enthusiast.

Stands proud peeping through the forest and can be seen for mikes. Very pretty castle. It is small but well worth a visit. It has been looked after and does host weddings in the vaulted rooms. Nice picnic area outside the gates. Parking is easy.

Such a pretty castle in beautiful surroundings. Renovated I believe years ago as a weekend home for the Marquis of Bute who's main residence was Cardiff castle. Very interesting inside and has lovely views overlooking the River Taff. Quite a steep walk up to the entrance if one is on foot but well worth the climb. Set in a pretty... More

A castle that was built to be a family home. Not very big but beautiful grounds. The staff were nice and helpful and they have recently introduced an audio system which is very easy to use. I would recommend that you take advantage of the free audio system because it adds to the visit. Took my 11 year old granddaughter... More

We cycled to Castle Coch along the Taff Trail and knew we couldn't stop for long, and so we ddecided not to go inside on this ocassion. But the exterior of the castle is breath-taking, and you are able to walk around the castle as well to see it from all angles. On a sunny day (as it was for... More

it's in such a magical setting that it's well worth a visit for the pure history of the place.. it's not that big, and as with all these old things the staircases are the width of a ferret so getting up and down the stairs on busy days can be trying, but everything there is worth seeing... once you've been... We were staying at Gelynis Farm B&B and our room was overlooked by the castle and from below looked gorgeous so me and my 8 month pregnant wife thought we would drive up for a visit. So glad we did, IT WAS AMAZING. The staff were so pleasant and helpful. There is a lot of stairs to climb up and... More

Very beautiful interior and informative audio guide! Really enjoyed it. Be prepared to walk (I took bus 26 to the stop) quite a bit and its really steep at some parts. Hard for elderly people to get to the castle. It is also a small castle. Took me an hour and a half to get an in depth visit around... More
