Stopped off for a quick lunch, had a double cheese burger and fries with a coffee. All was good with the food, the only issue was the wait for 3 minutes for the fries to turn up while my burger was cooling down. I called when there were about five people in the line waiting to be served, three of... More

Amazing views of Caerphilly castle. Perfect place to go for a little hike, if you're visiting Caerphilly for the weekend.

Whether you're the outdoorsy type who would kill for the world's best bacon sarnie and a cuppa after a brisk walk or some extreme cycling on Caerphilly Mountain, or you're a weary traveller, returning from the city lights of Cardiff, longing for some authentic Valleys hospitality, this is the acme of burger bars, of hotdog vendors, and purveyors of the... I've been to the Caerphilly Mountain Bar many times since the significant refurbishment, usually after cycling up Caerphilly mountain so it's always a welcome sight! If you are after a good quality bacon roll you really cannot go wrong. Be warned that sometimes it can get busy but I'd say this is purely down to the quality and great value... More

Called to look at views on a glorious sunny day and travelled further on to Caerphilly Golf Club which serves beautiful sunday lunch. Very tasty nice service, be careful about extra's ordered as 'they cost' and are not clearly indicated whether part of sunday lunch experience. Smashing day out.

They can't even cook chips. I don't know how to begin describing how bad this place is. It's in a wonderful location, on top of caerphilly mountain, having apparently got planning permission to build an ugly permanent building in place of an ugly permanent burger van. New premises same crap food. Hygiene first. I watched a bloke kneeling on top... More

A Great idea, very busy but I can't help thinking there has been an opportunity missed here. Someone said you sit in your car eating unhealthy burgers and sausages on a mountainside. I agree. Thats pretty much what it is. Its old fashioned unhealthy fatty food. But It doesn't pretend to be anything else. What a shame it caters for... More

I have been visiting this place for years, it's a fantastic place for views all year round. You can enjoy refreshments at the cafe which provides lovely fast food and drinks at reasonable prices.

Used to live in Caerphilly and often took the boys for a walk and a walk through the woods especially when the bluebells were out. Great Views and can be busy with cars but I truly miss coming here. Café selling tea and fast food Well worth a visit as easy to reach from Cardiff and then perhaps go down... More
