When I first went to see the Welsh National Opera I had never seen an Opera before and was a bit concerned that it was not my style. WNO put tickets on from five pounds...so what was there to loose? I loved it, the unique non-fussy, easy going, modern style. I have now seen 15 of their operas...and introduced my... More

Superb production of La Boheme. 'Mimi' was a bit tall for me but that aside from that her rendition was excellent. Designers should also be commended - wonderful but would have liked o see them using the whole of Wales Millennium Centre's amazing stage.

Sydney has a serious competitor! You can't get a full tour behind the scenes unless you're REALLY lucky though it's worth a try. Any performance regardless of genre is worth taking in...there are no bad seats in the house.

Wales is truly blessed to have such a great company based in it! Performances are excellent and the Milennium Centre is a good venue. Not cheap by any means and often fully booked within a week of programme being published.

The Welsh National opera deserves to be rated as a 'National Treasure' of Wales, the land of song. Over the years it has been supportive of the developing careers of international superstars (think Geraint Evans, Stewart Burrows, Dennis O'Neill, Bryn Terfel, Margaret Price and Rebecca Evans). But since moving into the amazing Wales Millennium Centre a few years ago, with... More
