I'm sure most of you know that Techniquest focuses mainly on Key Stage 2 science whereas i'm in Key Stage 4 and entering my last compulsory year of secondary school, but Techniquest never fails to amuse and entertain me! I gave Techniquest another visit this morning/afternoon with my friend after last going various times in infants/primary school, for my 12th... More

Went to techniquest for my daughters 9th birthday found it to be a bit dated and lacked the wow factor there was nothing new or nothing that we hadn't seen before, it was 23.00 for a family ticket then had to pay another 1.25 each to watch a Lego programme which the kids were bored of after 15 minutes, there... There is something for young and old in Techniquest. At first it looked a bit small when we went in but we ended up staying for hours. The science is on display but not in your face. Older kids will probably be a bit more curious about how and why the displays work but younger kids just play regardless. There... More

Techniquest is only a five minute walk from Mermaid Quay and well worth visiting. There are lots of small interactive exhibits which each teach you something about science in a fun way. The Planetarium show costs extra (under £2 per person) but shows the Cardiff night sky in an engaging way. Seats in the Planetarium are limited to about 20... More

We took our 2 young boys (7 and 5) there this weekend - they had a thoroughly absorbing time - the exhibits are designed for small children to explore through play, and play and explore they did. Thoroughly recommended.

I came here with my husband and two teenage sons and we spent a great couple of hours having a go at everything.... I wouldn't say we learnt loads but we all enjoyed the hands on interactive exhibits and it was a great value morning out. We did attend one of the lectures but think this was aimed more at... More

My children thought this was great had a great time exploring how everything worked. Quite busy but it was a showery day. Admission charge was average pity all the extras aren't included in it. Staff looked very bored!

Took the family here to keep the little 'uns occupied. Not overly cheap but tons for them to do & look at. Very hands-on & quite interesting experiments (like all the good bits of school). Not sure i would repeat visit but well worth going to one-time to keep the kids busy on a dull day

My wife, children (9 and 14 years) and I visited Techniquest whilst on a visit to Cardiff Bay. The admission fee of £23 for 2 adults and up to 3 children buys a wrist band each, which allows you to come and go as you please during opening hours (10:00 - 17:00),This is great if you want to go out...
