This castle is excellent for families to discover. There are many passageways and rooms to discover. Also interesting displays on the wars and a cave! Not all the tpwers are accessed by spiral staircases - which made access easier with our baby carrier. We had a great day there and it has plenty of space for children to run around. more

As a familiy we really enjoyed visiting the castle, most of it is largely intact and frighteningly all the stone stairs can be climbed but on getting to the top of the keep I must admit my legs were wobbling. We spent a very enjoyable afternoon at Pembroke castle, my 2 children aged 10 and 6 were thrilled with the amount of access given to the public. The castle is well kept and access is allowed across most of it even up to the very top of the tallest tower! The gift shop is also good for individual items. more

This is on the best castles that I have visited. I have visited it many times and still enjoy going back. It has so much to offer people of all ages and interests. In recent years more displays and video information has been included. It is worth at least half a day out to anyone visiting the area. more
